As artificial intelligence transforms the way we work, the most valuable technology professionals may not be those who can write the most code, but those who know which problems are worth solving.

This fall, John Cabot University launches its new Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Science, an interdisciplinary program designed to prepare students for a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Combining computational thinking, programming, cybersecurity, and information systems with courses in areas such as business, communication, law, and ethics, the program reflects a growing reality: technology does not exist in isolation. Today's challenges require professionals who can understand both the technical and human dimensions of innovation.

Professor Patrizio Angelini, Chair of the Department of Mathematics, Natural and Applied Sciences, describes this approach as one of the program's defining strengths. While students will develop a strong technical foundation, they will also be encouraged to think critically about the broader societal, ethical, and organizational implications of technology.

Set within JCU's liberal arts environment in the heart of Rome, the degree offers students the flexibility to shape their studies around their interests while preparing for careers in an increasingly interconnected world.
