The Pantheon Institute

Today, we are on-site with Professor Kelly Medford () and student Santiago Sanchez ( )sketching and painting the Fontana dei Tritoni. As part of our commitment to immersive and experiential learning, our class brings you out into the city to create artwork on-site. The Eternal City is transformed, the busy hum of the city distilled into a moment in time through colourful brush strokes.

This summer, we went on tour through Tuscany and Umbria with . From the campo of Siena to the Cathedral of Wine in Montepulciano, the baths of Bagno Vignoli to the Duomo of Orvieto, our beautiful field trip through central Italy was truly memorable.

This June 2nd, Italy celebrated 80 years as a Republic. As per tradition, Italian fighter jets cast bright red, green, and white smoke across the sky, symbolizing the Italian flag, an incredible sight that our students get to witness up close from our rooftop! Auguri Italia!

Summer has officially started here in , and so has our summer program! Today we’re in the studio with Professor Alessio Rosati during our vertical architecture design studio at our Gatta studio location. This summer, students are designing a project along the Tiber River. Can’t wait to see what you all come up with. Bravi ragazzi!

This time we’re at Largo Argentina and talking to students , , , and about their experience studying at the Pantheon Institute this Spring 2026 semester. While touring these famous ancient Roman ruins (where Caesar was famously stabbed in 44 BC!) we discussed everything from the power of Rome as an experiential learning environment to how Pantheon Institute and our General Studies program lets you create a class schedule that helps you achieve your academic goals.

Thank you to Mackenzie, Leah, Laura, and Grace for sharing their thoughts on how their semester in Rome and at the Pantheon Institute shape their understanding of learning, living, and travelling abroad by helping them get out of their comfort zone.

And so we come to the end of another semester. Where did the time go?! From Venice to Pompeii, design studio to nutrition, January to May, we’ve covered a lot this Spring Semester. As always, the Eternal City serves as our working classroom, a place we can keep returning to, over and over, to learn something new, explore something deeper, and create something all our own. Congratulations to all our students on a job well done! We are so proud of you and everything you’ve done over the past four months.

Wishing you all a safe journey home, wherever you’re going, and a wonderful summer. And remember, it’s not goodbye, it’s a . Until we meet again!

We’re in final crits! Our architecture studio students are presenting their final projects: a multipurpose building set in the Parco degli Acquedotti, an incredible green space where a marvel of ancient Roman engineering serves as the backdrop for modern design. Congratulations to everyone on your incredible designs! We’re so impressed with everything you’ve created. Thank you also to our guest crits for their feedback on the work presented.

It’s a ! Yesterday, we went and saw the Lazio vs. Udinese soccer game at the Stadio Olympico here in Rome. What a great way to end the semester by supporting the Lazio team. Pantheon Institute aims to get you out and into the city, experiencing Rome just like the Romans do and no experience in the Eternal City is complete without watching una partita di calcio!

Last week, we were up on the rooftop making pizza! As part of our nutrition course, students enjoy several practical cooking classes in which they learn how to make different classic Italian dishes. One of our favourites is when we get to make an authentic Roman pizza from scratch: stretching the dough, spreading the sauce, choosing the ingredients, and firing the pie in our very own wood burning oven. The best thing about making your own pizza? Getting to eat it in the Roman sunshine with friends. Buon appetito!
