Today, we gathered in our Prayer Pal groups to reflect on the theme of ‘Courage’ as part of Refugee Week. We thought about how we could pray for refugees and the ways in which we can show welcome to others. We collaborated to create artwork and prayers on the words ‘Refugee’, ‘Courage’ and ‘Welcome.’

Yesterday, we revealed the winners of our exciting potato competition during assembly! Leading up to the big announcement, each class grew their own crop, which we then counted and weighed. Key Stage One also gathered together to help with the judging and even got to taste-test some of the wonderful vegetables they grew.

We are so proud of the well-engineered towers that year 6 have built in the Primary Engineer construction competition.
The children worked in pairs and made 17 beautiful towers overall, only 3 were allowed to be entered in the competition.
Our partner engineer, Miss Burley from Geomarine and 7 of our lovely teaching staff had the arduous task of voting for just 3 towers. Geomarine Jsy Ltd
10 Jersey primary schools took part in the engineering competition and we are delighted to say that 1 of our entries was selected as the winning entry.
Congratulations to team Super Mario Sisters on the win as well as teams The Little Kingdom and The Fairies on being selected to enter. Primary Engineer

Today, our Year 6 pupils welcomed the wonderful Erin from the National Trust into the FCJ Podcast Room for a fascinating interview session.
The children impressed us with their thoughtful, probing questions as they learned more about conservation, heritage and the important work of the National Trust. 🌿🏰
It was also a particularly special occasion as Erin is a former FCJ pupil herself. The children loved hearing about her journey since leaving primary school and seeing first-hand where determination and passion can lead.
A huge thank you to Erin for sharing her time, experiences and expertise with us. We can’t wait to share the finished podcast! 🎧⭐ The National Trust for Jersey
