🍦☀️ Keeping Cool in the Heat Wave! ☀️🍦

Our new playhouse has had a very exciting makeover this week—it’s been transformed into an ice cream stand! 🍨

The children have been busy serving up lots of imaginative treats, taking orders from friends, and practising their communication and social skills through role play. From strawberry scoops to rainbow sundaes, there have been plenty of smiles all around!

With the temperatures soaring, we've been finding fun ways to stay cool, including water play, shady outdoor activities, and plenty of drinks throughout the day. The ice cream stand has been the perfect addition to our summer adventures, helping little imaginations flourish while embracing the sunny weather ☀️

This morning we have had a lovely time at the park! ☀️

The children have used their gross motor skills to climb, run and jump. We finished off our trip with some delicious ice lollys 🍦

Today the children have shown interests in mini beasts! To extend this the practitioners did in the moment planning and created a mini beast discovery tray 🪲🪰

The children have been using their hand eye coordination skills to search and find the insects amongst the little forest 🧐🌸

Today we had our routine visit to Maison St Brelade! Thanks to Maison St Brelade care home for welcoming us back and having a variety of fun activities for the children, staff and the residents. We love to see the interactions between the children and residents, it’s definitely our favourite and most rewarding outing ❤️
