The Rainbow Room children have been exploring clay.
They have been experimenting using a variety of tools to shape, mould and make marks in the clay.
We discussed how the clay felt at different stages of their work and what other tools we could use, to have the same or a different effect on the clay.

Pirate π΄ββ οΈ and Princess π Day
The children dressed up today for our Pirate and Princess sponsorship Day for the Jersey Child Care Trust.
We had lots of fun themed activities for the children to explore.
There were gold coins for the pirates treasure in the sand, water and playdough areas. They discovered black, red, white and pink painting at the easel and wands, necklaces and princess brushes for the children to play with.
We would like to say a big thank you to Alice from the JCCT who came to visit us and did some singing and signing with the children they loved joining in with the signs and songs. πΈπ΄ββ οΈ
We would also like to thank everyone for their very kind and generous donations

Today in the sunshine room the children have been exploring threading using their hand and eye coordination.
As they threaded the reels onto the lace they watched how they fell to the bottom.
Some of the children also counted how many they had on their reel.
Some children also had a go at threading the laces through the picture boards .
