Congratulations to Dr Seni Ononuju, recipient of the 2026 WONCA Regional Five Star Doctor Award for the North America Region.

A family physician in Jamaica, Dr Ononuju has provided compassionate primary care and professional leadership for more than five decades.

Her work includes:

• Delivering continuous patient-centred care across Jamaica’s public and private health systems
• Leading the Caribbean College of Family Physicians Jamaica Chapter through the COVID-19 pandemic
• Strengthening physician wellbeing through leadership on Jamaica’s Impaired Physicians Subcommittee
• Supporting community outreach programmes improving care for vulnerable populations
• Contributing to professional standards through service on the Medical Council of Jamaica

Funeral Service for Dr. Mary Sloper

The Caribbean College of Family Physicians and the Association of General Practitioners of Jamaica advise of the Funeral Service Dr. Mary Sloper, family physician, mentor, and colleague.
