When givers became beggars?

“They begged us again and again for the privilege of sharing in the gift for the believers in Jerusalem.

They even did more than we had hoped, for their first action was to give themselves to the Lord and to us, just as God wanted them to do.

So we have urged Titus, who encouraged your giving in the first place, to return to you and encourage you to finish this ministry of giving.

Since you excel in so many ways—in your faith, your gifted speakers, your knowledge, your enthusiasm, and your love from us—I want you to excel also in this gracious act of giving.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭8‬:‭4‬-‭7‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Paul indicated that the “poor” Macedonia Christians were begging for an opportunity to participate in the offering that he was gathering for the Church in Jerusalem. They were begging to give!

On the other hand the Corinthian believers had a ministry of giving, but they needed improvement.

The Corinthian Christians were excellent in many ways—in faith, gifted speaking and singing, in knowledge, in enthusiasm, and hospitality and love. However they needed to grow in the gracious act of giving.

Where do you stand?

I encourage you to follow the Macedonia Christians and seek out opportunities to sow, give and invest in what God is doing today. I encourage you to give, sow and invest in what God is doing in the Caribbean with ECU.

WHY REVIVAL TARRIES?

A Community is in revival when a majority of the people in that community embrace the person, presence, love, power and authority of God and respect, value and worship Him.

We’re experiencing revival when doing His will and fulfilling His agenda on earth becomes the main reason we live.

Revival starts at the personal level. Grassroots first. Personal revival is contagious. It spreads from the individual disciple to their family and friends, then neighbourhood, town, parish or state, regional and nations.

Revival produces good works, peace, righteous policies and sustainable development of people and nations.

I am,, and yes, we are the reason revival tarries.

Join the cry: Revive me Lord. Revive us Lord, for the glory of your Name.
