The Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Japan, is inviting applications for its OIST Visiting Scholars Programme.

This is a funded research stay for independent researchers who want to spend 3 to 12 months at OIST, build international collaborations, and work in a highly interdisciplinary research environment.

What the programme offers:

➤ Round-trip travel support

➤ On-campus accommodation

➤ Living expenses support through per diem

➤ Office space and access to OIST research facilities

➤ Opportunity to collaborate with OIST research units

Who can apply?

➤ Senior postdoctoral researchers

➤ Faculty members

➤ Independent researchers or equivalent

➤ Applicants from any field whose research aligns with OIST

The intended research stay should start between April 2027 and March 2028.
