Step inside the Global Business of tomorrow! 🌍💼

In KUAS Biz, our "First Seminar Class" challenges students to conduct independent research on a specialized topic of their choosing.

Reaching the mid-semester milestone, group representatives recently took the floor to deliver dynamic 5-minute pitch presentations. These classes go far beyond standard lectures—they are interactive masterclasses in public speaking, critical peer feedback, active brainstorming, and on-the-spot problem-solving. Swipe through to see our students refining their business strategies and collaborating in real-time! 👉

Stay tuned later this semester for the highly anticipated final poster session, where every student will proudly showcase their completed research topics. 📊✨

We couldn’t fit all the fun into just one post! 📸 Here are even more highlights from our first-ever KUASPO Sports Festival!

From the intense focus during the Team Building Challenge to the incredible sportsmanship shown across every single game, the energy at the Kameoka Campus was truly unmatched. Whether they were staff, faculty, or students, everyone stepped out of their comfort zones, brought their A-game, and made memories that will last a lifetime. We are already looking forward to the next one! 🙌✨

A big thank you to Yash and Kunal, from the KUAS production circle, for taking these wonderful pictures.

From a classroom cornerstone project to an internationally recognized, life-saving innovation! 💡🌍

Meet Arthur, Ken, Ethan, and Zaman—the brilliant undergraduate minds from our Engineering program who, under the expert guidance of their supervisor Dr. Liang, developed "Thermal Guardian."

Tackling the severe risk of "heat shock" during bathing among older adults, this team designed a highly accurate wearable device that monitors physiological vitals and environmental temperatures simultaneously. Their dedication to public health recently earned them 2nd Place at the prestigious iCAN'26 Contest, and they will soon be representing Japan on the world stage! 🏆🇯🇵

🗣️ "We will continue to develop Thermal Guardian, pursuing greater heights together and making a positive impact through this work," says team leader Arthur. ✨

What an unforgettable day at our first-ever KUASPO! 🎉

We had an absolute blast at the inaugural KUAS Sports Festival! Students, staff, and faculty from all over the university came together at the Kameoka Campus for an afternoon packed with laughs, teamwork, and friendly competition. 🤝✨

From intense Tug-of-War showdowns and competitive Musical Chairs to the hilarious chaos of the Sock Matching Throw and Daruma-san ga Koronda (red-light, green-light), everyone brought incredible energy. It wasn't about athletic ability—it was all about breaking out of our daily routines, making new friends, and connecting across departments and nationalities as one big community. 🌍🏅

Meet Vanesa, an engineering student from Mexico who stepped out of her comfort zone during an incredible internship at Tohan Denshi Kiki in Osaka! 🇲🇽✨🇯🇵

During her time there, Vanesa and her team tackled a hands-on project: building a Python application to control motor drives—starting, stopping, changing velocity, and reversing direction right from a computer. 💻⚙️

Beyond the technical skills, Vanesa got a real taste of a welcoming Japanese workplace. She navigated the office using her daily conversational Japanese and quickly learned the importance of prepping technical vocabulary in advance. 🗣️📚

Her biggest piece of advice for future students? Ignorance isn’t a bad thing; it’s an "opportunity to learn." 💡

From building Legos in Indonesia to designing mechanical systems in Japan! 🧩⚙️

Meet Michelle Jacqueline Fraser, a third-year undergraduate in our Engineering program.

Michelle chose KUAS because she wanted to be a "street-smart engineer" who applies knowledge to real-world challenges through our Capstone program. Between her hands-on classes like Machine Design, her role as a Dormitory Tutor, and exploring the beautiful mountains of Arashiyama, Michelle is making the most of her time in Kyoto! 🌸🇯🇵

🗣️Her advice to future students? "Do not fear failure but rather fear not trying! All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them!" ✨

Step into our open-air classroom and discover the roots of sustainable agriculture! 🌿

In our KUAS BIO program, our students gain invaluable hands-on experience by bringing academic theory directly to the soil. From cultivating vibrant tomatoes and eggplants to nurturing traditional Kyoto vegetables, they are actively exploring the deep, real-world importance of sustainable farming practices. 🍅🍆

By bridging the gap between rigorous scientific research and active agricultural cultivation, we are preparing our future environmental leaders to tackle global challenges with expertise and care. It is truly wonderful to watch our students collaborate in the field and grow alongside their crops! 🌱✨

Welcome to the forefront of engineering innovation! 💡

In our undergraduate Mechatronics course, students are challenged to push the boundaries of their technical expertise. Moving beyond theory, our future engineers are tasked with designing, programming, and constructing functional robots entirely from scratch. 🤖⚙️

The culmination of this rigorous project is a dynamic course test, specifically designed to evaluate each robot's precision, mobility, and real-world functionality. It is always a joy to watch our students master these complex, hands-on challenges and collaborate to bring their advanced designs to life! 🌟
