Showers getting dividers for stalls. We are taking donations for new dorms for the students, and with God's help we will have the funding we need to build them soon. The students then won't have to shower outside anymore or use latrines.
If you would like to donate, please go to our website livinghopehighschool.org and donate and mention Dorms in the category box.

Two mission teams from the U.S. came to visit and share their gifts and talents with Living Hope
High School. The first small team of two, Pam and Connie, arrived in February and, while at the school, helped with the First Aid and CPR classes and administered vaccinations to the students. They also worked in the Library and did some office work. It was a nice trip, they said, except for the trip back to Nairobi when the airport in Eldoret shut down. They had to figure out plan B. They eventually made it to Nairobi and back home safely.
The second team of eight arrived at Living Hope on March 17 to Living Hope after a long journey, to get there and they were greeted with singing and dancing from the students. They were all smiles and happy to greet us. The school was blessed with Mike and his wife, Deanna. Mike and my husband, Paul, had served in the Navy together, and they just reconnected after 46 years and joined us on the trip. Deanna’s friend Sherri also joined the team. Beth, her daughter Kate and Jennifer, a first-time traveller, made up the eight of us. Everyone had great gifts and talents to share with the school.
There were morning projects, mural painting, cleaning the storage room, staining new stools for the library, helping in the office, and shopping for school supplies in Bungoma town. Electrical work and vehicle work. The afternoon classes were held for the students. Art and Mural painting, Prayer Journals, Guitar class, sewing, learning how to work on the school van, choir and games. Saturday was Community Fun Day for the community's children; 150 of them came to do crafts, sing, play games, and have their faces painted. They also enjoyed a snack and went home with some goodies and smiles on their faces! On another day, several team members went into Bungoma to hand out milk and bread to the street kids. Sorry, I missed it because I was sick. Soon it was time to say goodbye with a farewell dinner with the students. There were speeches, plates high with food and a few tears. As the evening concluded, the rains came to sing us to sleep. We packed up and started our journey to Nairobi, but not before going on a Safari in Nakuru, taking a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, and then heading to a Coffee Plantation. We left with many memories in our hearts. A big thank you to all who hosted us at Living Hope, Charise and Elvis, who are doing a great job. The school staff and the teachers. It was a great gift to work with the students and continue onward with the vision and dream that Marilyn Uhl had for the Kenyan Youth at Living Hope. Also to our great drivers, Justice and Peter. We had lots of fun with them and many laughs!

A new water tank is being stalled. The old one was leaking, and the top was missing. No one knew where it went. Praising the Lord for the new one and the new pipes put in that will make the water safe for the students to drink! Glad no one was hurt during the installation.

The new Form 2 students arrived on Monday. Many came with excitement, and some came with anxiety and fear to a new place. Charise, our director, shared that she encouraged them not to be afraid and to come with joy and anticipation of all the new friends they would make, the good education they would receive, and the love they would be shown! By this weekend, we will have the students' individual names, pictures, and bios. If anyone would like to partner with the school and mentor a student, please contact Sandy Binotto, the U.S. Coordinator, at [email protected] for more information. Girls are in Blue and boys in Yellow!
