I had the prime plum pleasure and privilege to serve as part of the External Facilitators team, in collaboration with the Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Training (CPST), during the Strategic Negotiation, Effective Communication & Public Speaking Training for Members of the Kenya National Assembly held from 24th–26th April 2026 at Avian Court Hotel, Naivasha.
We tackled structure, coherence, and stellar delivery techniques using the STAR Framework:
🔹 S – Storytelling: crafting compelling, relatable narratives
🔹 T – Tone & Technique: leveraging colorful language, rhetorical devices, confident body language, and vocal mastery through the 4Ps—Pitch, Pace, Projection, and Pause
🔹 A – Authenticity: showing up with credibility and genuine presence
🔹 R – Resonance: ensuring the message connects and leaves lasting impact.
Participants expressed strong interest in enrolling for advanced communication and public speaking coaching engagements, with a desire to deepen their skills in managing hostile or difficult audiences, strengthening conflict resolution strategies, and effectively applying emotional intelligence in leadership and communication.
An engaging, practical, and enriching experience that reinforced the power of intentional communication in leadership.
