Moi Educational Centre – KPA Schools Benchmarking Visit

On 4th June 2026, Moi Educational Centre (MEC) hosted 8 school managers and teachers from Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Schools, Mombasa, for a benchmarking visit to its Preschool Section.

The delegation toured preschool classrooms, learning corners, and play facilities, and engaged with MEC teachers on CBC implementation, play-based learning, and learner-centered strategies. In turn, the KPA team shared their own innovative ideas and best practices.

The visitors commended MEC's warm hospitality, organized learning environment, and the creativity of its young learners. MEC emphasized its commitment to continuous improvement and open-door learning, celebrating such collaborative partnerships as a means of strengthening quality education.

Admissions are currently ongoing for Reception, PP1, and PP2.

Our Grade 5 learners recently embarked on an exciting educational trip to Apollo's Science Park, where learning came alive through exploration, discovery, and hands-on experiences.

From exploring historical technologies in the museum to engaging with interactive exhibits in science, agriculture, transport, minerals, apiculture, creative arts, music, and cultural heritage, every stop inspired curiosity and deeper understanding.

The learners also enjoyed close encounters with both domestic and wild animals, making the experience even more memorable.
The adventure concluded with fun recreational activities, creating the perfect blend of education, discovery, and enjoyment.
