YIMBiK is seeking a highly motivated and competent Program Coordinator to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our research, innovation, training, and fellowship programs focused on global health, biotechnology, and food security.
This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic organization advancing youth-led innovation, scientific research, and impact-driven programs.

🎯 Position: Program Coordinator
Organization: YIMBiK – Young Innovators in Microbiology, Biotechnology & Innovation Kenya
Location: Remote / Hybrid (depending on assignment)
Engagement Type: Contract / Part-time / Full-time (based on program needs)

✅ Key Responsibilities
Coordinate YIMBiK programs, fellowships, internships, and research initiatives
Manage program timelines, deliverables, and reporting processes
Support recruitment and engagement of interns, fellows, and partners
Monitor program progress and performance indicators
Organize meetings, workshops, and virtual sessions
Prepare technical and administrative reports
Support partnerships, stakeholder communication, and outreach activities
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and quality frameworks

🎓 Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Public Health, Life Sciences, Project Management, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage)
Experience in program management, research coordination, or project administration
Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills
Experience working with research, innovation, or development programs is desirable
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Strong digital literacy (Google Workspace, data tools, virtual collaboration platforms)

⭐ Preferred Competencies
Experience managing research or fellowship programs
Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation frameworks
Grant or proposal management experience
Experience working with youth innovation programs or NGOs
Leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
