The Catholic University of Eastern Africa mourns with the Utumishi Girls Academy community following the tragic fire incident that claimed the lives of students.
We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the families who have lost their loved ones, as well as to the school's students, staff, leadership, and wider community. We also remember in prayer those who were injured and all who continue to be affected by this tragedy.
At moments such as these, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, faith, and community. We keep the entire Utumishi Girls Academy family in our thoughts and prayers, trusting that they will find strength and comfort in the support of those around them.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon them. 🕊️
