The atmosphere at New Hope Education Centre was filled with joy, color, and celebration as the school hosted a memorable Pre-Primary 2 (PP2) graduation ceremony, which was uniquely combined with a special prayer session for the Grade Six candidates ahead of their upcoming rehearsal on Friday.
The event, held at the school grounds, brought together parents, teachers, pupils, and invited guests, all eager to share in the success and excitement of the day. The grounds were beautifully decorated with vibrant colors, creating a cheerful and festive environment that perfectly matched the spirit of the occasion.
The PP2 graduates, dressed smartly in their colorful gowns and caps, confidently marched to the stage, symbolizing their readiness to transition to primary school. Their performances — including songs, poems, and dances — showcased the creativity, confidence, and teamwork instilled in them throughout their early learning journey.
In his remarks, the Head Teacher congratulated the young graduates for their hard work and discipline, expressing appreciation to the teachers and parents for their continued support. He also reminded the learners that this was just the beginning of their educational journey, urging them to remain focused and committed as they advance to the next level.
The second part of the event was dedicated to the Grade Six candidates’ prayer session, where the school community gathered to bless and encourage the learners as they prepare for their national assessments. Teachers and parents joined hands in prayer, asking for wisdom, calmness, and success for the candidates during their forthcoming examinations.
The ceremony concluded with words of encouragement from the school administration, followed by a fellowship session that allowed parents and learners to interact and celebrate together.
The day was a true reflection of New Hope Education Centre’s commitment to holistic education — nurturing not only academic excellence but also spiritual growth, character development, and a sense of community among learners.

HOPE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
Today, New Hope Education Centre held a special session with its alumni who had transitioned to other schools due to limited space for junior school level. The event was part of the school’s ongoing Mentorship Program, which aims to foster a strong bond with former learners and provide them with ongoing support throughout their educational journey.
The mentorship program emphasizes:
Monitoring the academic progress of alumni.
Encouraging and motivating learners to stay committed to their studies despite challenges.
Providing guidance and mentorship to ensure students remain focused and disciplined in pursuing their educational goals. During the session,
The alumni shared their experiences in their new schools, including the opportunities and challenges they face. Mentors encouraged them to stay resilient, embrace hard work, and continue upholding the values instilled in them at New Hope.
The event also highlighted the Centre’s dedication to nurturing students outside the classroom, making sure they not only succeed academically but also develop into responsible and successful people.
Along with the mentorship discussions, the Centre also offered practical help by distributing learning materials, including exercise books, pens, erasers, and sanitary towels for the girls. This gesture was warmly appreciated and will greatly support their learning.
CONCLUSION:
The mentorship session was a major success, strengthening the connection between New Hope Education Centre and its alumni. The school reaffirmed its commitment to supporting all its learners, past and present, in creating a brighter future through education.
