🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA STUDENT VISA UPDATE | CRICOS REGISTRATION PAUSE

The Australian Government has introduced a 12-month suspension on new CRICOS registrations for private VET and ELICOS providers and courses.

📅 Period: 19 May 2026 – 19 May 2027

📌 Key changes
No new private VET or ELICOS providers can register under CRICOS
No new VET or ELICOS courses for international students can be added
Applies only to private providers

Public universities
TAFE institutes
Government schools
Existing CRICOS providers

Deliver approved courses
Add delivery locations for current courses
Update or replace existing approved courses

Submitted before 19 May 2026 will still be assessed
