✅ Under CBC Senior School, a learner chooses:
ONE (1) Pathway (e.g. STEM for a future doctor)
THREE (3) Subject Combinations within that pathway
Each combination contains 4 schools to choose from during placement
💡 Example: Learner wants to become a Doctor
Pathway Chosen: ✅ C2 – STEM
Number of Subject Combinations to Choose: ✅ 3 combinations
Subjects likely included in each combination:
Biology
Chemistry
Mathematics
(plus a support subject like English, Computer Science, or Physics)
📝 Sample Subject Combinations for a future doctor:
1. Combination 1: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, English
2. Combination 2: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science
3. Combination 3: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Agriculture
The learner will then choose 4 preferred schools for each of these 3 combinations , making a total of 12 school choices.

The Ministry of Education has released a new list of English Literature and Kiswahili Fasihi set books that will be examined from 2022 to 2026.
ENGLISH LITERATURE
Paul Vitta's "Fathers of Nations" published by Oxford University Press replaces Henry ole Kulet's "Blosooms of the Savannah" as the compulsory novel.
Optional books, "Artists of the Floating World" will replace John Steinbeck's "The Pearl." The book is written by Kazuo Ishiguro and published by Longhorn.
"A Silent Song and Other Stories" replaces Chris Wanjala's the "Memories We Lost" in the anthology of short stories genre as optional set book.The short stories are edited by Kenya's literature guru Godwin Siundu and published by Spotlight Publishers.
FASIHI YA KISWAHILI
In Fasihi, Pauline Kea's Kigogo is now replaced by 'Bembea' written by Timothy Moriasi in the play category [Tamthilia] while 'Nguu za Jodi' makes it to the novel category replacing Asumpta Matei's 'Chozi la Heri'.
On the other hand, 'Mapambazuko ya Machweo na Hadithi Nyingine' published by Mountain Top publishers takes the place of Tumbo lisiloshiba in the short stories genre.
