We are pleased to announce that Fr. Norbert Litoing, SJ has been appointed Interim Director of the Jesuit Historical Institute in Africa (JHIA) by the Chair of the Board of Trustees, Very Rev. José Minaku, SJ

Fr. Litoing will succeed Fr. Jean Luc Enyegue, SJ, who has been appointed Provincial of the Jesuit Province of Africa Occidental (AOC). As Interim Director, Fr. Litoing will oversee the operational and administrative needs of the Institute, ensuring the continuity of JHIA’s vital mission of preserving and promoting the rich historical, cultural, and theological heritage of the Society of Jesus in Africa.

We express our sincere gratitude to Fr. Litoing for his availability and generosity in accepting this responsibility in service of the Institute and the broader mission of the Society of Jesus. Once again, we take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt congratulations and prayers to Fr. Enyegue as he assumes his new role as Provincial of the AOC Province.

We wish Fr. Norbert every blessing and success in his leadership and assure him of our support and prayers as he guides JHIA in this important period of transition.
