BACK SAFE, AND STRONGER THAN BEFORE
Dear all,
First week of opening, we experienced heavy flooding in our school compound following the recent rains, affecting several sections of the school environment and temporarily disrupting normal movement within the compound.
Despite the challenge, learning continued safely as we quickly organized learners into the available dry classrooms while working around the clock to restore the environment.
After intensive drainage and repair work, we are happy to report that the situation was fully contained within 48 hours and the school is now safe, clean, and operational.
We sincerely appreciate:
Our dedicated staff for their resilience and teamwork
Parents for their patience and understanding
The local experts and workers who helped restore the drainage system
Our learners for remaining calm and adaptable throughout the experience
This experience reminded us that challenges may come, but unity, preparation, and determination always carry us through.
The cleanup and restoration continue, and we are committed to creating an even better learning environment for every child.
Thank you for standing with us.
We are back.
We are dry.
And we are stronger than before.

At our school, we believe education is a shared journey. Every lesson taught, every question asked, and every idea exchanged creates an opportunity for growth โ not only for students, but for teachers as well.
Teaching goes beyond delivering knowledge. It inspires curiosity, builds confidence, and nurtures a community where learning becomes meaningful and collaborative.
The timeless Latin phrase โDoscendo Discimusโ reminds us that learning never ends. Great educators do more than teach lessons โ they shape character, encourage innovation, and inspire future leaders.
Through patience, dedication, and mentorship, teachers empower young minds to become problem-solvers, changemakers, and compassionate members of society.
At our institution, we proudly celebrate educators who go beyond the classroom to inspire transformation and lifelong learning.
Together, we continue to honour the enduring truth:
โจ โBy teaching, we learn.โ โจ

Our students are taking the lead! ๐
We have some serious "proud teacher" moments to share today! Huge shoutout to Maxwell Ochieng (Form 4), Godwin Kiplimo (Form 3), and Elizabeth Akinyi (Form 3) for stepping up in a BIG way. ๐
These three amazing students are taking a bold step by co-facilitating sessions in our Young Empowerment Program (Y.E.P).
Itโs one thing to learn, but itโs another thing entirely to lead and empower your peers, and they did it with confidence!
At Kerstine, we donโt just teach from books; we build leaders. Seeing Maxwell, Godwin, and Elizabeth in action reminds us that the future is in very capable hands. ๐ฐ๐ชโจ
Letโs show some love these three "Young Facilitators"

The greatest threat to our childrenโs progress isn't a mistake - itโs the decision to stand still. ๐
Whether we are leading a classroom or a household, the cost of inaction is always higher than the cost of a "wrong" turn.
To my fellow parents, educators, and youth advocates: we must show our young people how to push past fear!
Here is how we are thinking about growth today:
1๏ธโฃ Mistakes are "Data Points": In the journey of learning, there is no such thing as a failure if you learn from it. Launch, learn, and pivot.
2๏ธโฃ Permission to Fly: When we model the courage to take risks, we give our children the "permission to fail." That is the only way they find the ultimate courage to fly. ๐ฆ
3๏ธโฃ Success is in the Struggle: Nobody is inspired by a trophy that was easily won. Real success is found in the chapters where things went wrong, but you refused to quit.
4๏ธโฃ Hard Work & Mental Toughness: Itโs about the discipline to keep showing up even when the ground is rocky.
Letโs stop worrying about the "what ifs" and start focusing on the "whatโs next." The only way to guarantee a loss is to never take the risk at all.
Let's lead with heart and courage today.

Our students aren't just the leaders of tomorrow, they are leading TODAY! ๐
At Kerstine, we believe that empowering our boys and girls is the single most important investment we can make.
We are seeing a monumental shift in leadership, driven by a generation that refuses to settle for the status quo. ๐
Through the Y.E.P program, we are fostering an ecosystem right here and providing solutions in our community where:
๐ก Innovation is second nature.
๐ง Growth Mindsets are celebrated.

The Forest We May Never Sit Under
To support the youth is to plant seeds for a forest whose shade you may never sit under. This is the highest form of generational foresight.
In the short term, mentorship provides immediate skills. But in the long term, it provides the community with insurance.
When we equip the young with the tools for success, we aren't just aiding their individual journeys; we are ensuring that the institutions, businesses, and communities weโve spent our lives building have capable hands ready to carry them forward.
A legacy is only as strong as its successor. By investing in the youth today, we aren't just preparing them for the worldโwe are preparing the world for them.

It's been quite a journey. Kerstine will be blessed always.
