At USIU-Africa, learning extends far beyond the classroom.
On May 15, members of the Criminal Justice Club (CJC) visited the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) headquarters for an insightful and impactful learning experience focused on national unity, peacebuilding, and social justice.
Students engaged in meaningful discussions around critical issues affecting society today, including hate speech, misinformation, and the June 2024 protests. The session challenged students to think critically about the role of institutions, leadership, and youth in promoting peace and cohesion within communities.
The visit also marked the beginning of a potential long-term partnership between CJC and NCIC through initiatives such as the proposed Amani Club program, community justice walks, trainings, and pre-election peace campaigns aimed at promoting diversity, tolerance, and peaceful conflict resolution among young people.
Experiences like these reflect USIU-Africa’s commitment to nurturing globally minded leaders equipped to create positive change in society. ✨
