🌟 Our Chess Stars Have Qualified! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce that 15 of our learners have officially qualified to represent Kenya at the African Chess Championships in Kampala, Uganda this May 2026!

👏 Special congratulations to Arianna Wangui, Grade 6, who emerged as our top performer at the Chess Nationals 2026.

We are proud of all our learners for their dedication, resilience, and brilliance. The journey continues and the future of chess is bright! ♟️✨

Our School was honored today to host a wonderful annual prizing day graced by our distinguished Guest of Honour, Dr. Rueben Nthamburi.
We were delighted to have our dedicated parents, committed teachers, and vibrant students come together in celebration of excellence, growth, and community.

Today’s Student Council elections were held in the Computer Lab, with PTF representatives led by Chairman Evans Omondi observing. Voting ran from 10:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

We celebrate our learners for their participation and may the best candidates win!

Today our Grade 7–9 students visited Eastlands College of Technology, gaining valuable exposure to future career opportunities. The experience inspired them to connect learning with real-world possibilities and dream bigger about their future.

Chess Regionals Done! !

What a weekend! So proud of our team – 50 players (that's 94.3%) qualified for nationals! 🙌
Lenny Shila was our top scorer with 5/6 points. Right behind him were Felinda Kemunto, Arianna Wangui, and Ethan Muthomi with 4.5 points each.

Loads of our players scored 4 points too:
Deborah Pendo, Chantel Usolo, Micella Wanjiku, Chevaughn Kariuki, Stephanie Mbithe, Malaika Kiema, Gakena Wangare, Purity Mutheu, Truphena Awuor, and Chris Blain.

Oh! And our little superstar Nuru Ivy (6 years old!) also walked away with 4 points. Future grandmaster in the making!

April 2–4 at Mang'u High School. Win there, and it's off to Uganda for the African Youth Championship!

Our Junior school learners were privileged to participate in the KALRO Open Week 2026 held at the Kenya Agricultural & Livestock Research Organisation – Kabete Centre.

Our learners had an incredible experiential learning opportunity at the Biotechnology Research Institute, where they explored modern agricultural technologies, improved crop varieties, pest and disease control methods, and climate-smart innovations. The visit provided hands-on exposure to scientific demonstrations, agribusiness concepts, and cutting-edge biotechnology research.

This enriching experience aligns with our commitment to nurturing competence, creativity, and critical thinking beyond the classroom. We are proud of our students for their curiosity, engagement, and enthusiasm throughout the visit.

Celebrating Scouts Founder’s Day 2026 🌍
Today, 14th February, the Scouts of CITAM Schools Buruburu proudly joined fellow scouts from across the world in celebrating Founder’s Day at Our Lady of Mercy South B.
Founder’s Day is celebrated in honor of Robert Baden-Powell, the founder of the Scout Movement, whose vision continues to inspire millions of young people to be disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented citizens.
Our scouts demonstrated teamwork, leadership, and the true scouting spirit as they interacted, learned, and celebrated together with other scout troops. ⚜️
We are proud of our learners for upholding the Scout values of integrity, service, and commitment as they continue to grow into responsible global citizens.
