The SIYB Game is a training resource that provides hands-on experience in managing a business within a classroom setting. Its goal is to allow seminar participants to make decisions akin to those encountered in the real business world and to explore the results of those choices. This simulation mirrors a genuine business environment and comprises four modules. We will be facilitating and training on Modules 1 and 2 of the SIYB Game on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 9 AM to 5 PM at The IBIS Hotel in Nanyuki. Critical thinking enables entrepreneurs to break down complex problems into manageable components, analyze various factors influencing the situation, and develop innovative solutions. By critically evaluating information and considering different perspectives, entrepreneurs can identify root causes of issues and implement effective problem-solving strategies.

Many Business Development Service Programs have recognized the Start & Improve Your Business (SIYB) program from the International Labour Organization (ILO), a United Nations agency, as the preferred solution. By enrolling in the ILO Certification Programme for SIYB Trainers, you will receive certification to conduct training and provide business mentorship using the resources of the ILO's SIYB program. This specialized training provides participants with the necessary content and training methods. In response to feedback from our participants through the Training Needs Analysis, we have tailored the Training of Trainers (TOT) program to prepare trainers as Business Mentors with fundamental mentorship skills. The additional topics to be addressed include:
• Fundamental Business Mentorship skills
• Utilizing SIYB as a tool for business mentorship
• Business Model Canvas (BMC)
• McKinsey 7S Framework
