Kenyatta University had the pleasure of hosting a delegation from the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), led by Project Advisor Anna Hakami, during a project monitoring visit on 3 June 2026. The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor, represented by Prof. Caroline Thoruwa, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Outreach), reaffirming the Universityβs commitment to international partnerships, research excellence, innovation and sustainable development.
The visit focused on monitoring the progress, achievements, impact, and sustainability of two Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) projects: Sub-Saharan Africa Teacher Leadership for Education for Sustainable Development (SSATL-ESD https://lead4esd.net/ ) project, led by Dr. Dorcas Otieno and Universities Promoting Linkages for Impactful Training, Innovation and Technology Transfer in Agriculture (UPLIFT-Ag https://uplift-ag.org/ ), coordinated at Kenyatta University by Prof. Maina Mwangi.
The delegation engaged with university leadership, consortium partners from Africa and Europe, project teams, and beneficiaries to assess implementation progress, share lessons learned, and explore strategies for long-term institutional and regional impact.
The visit also included interactions with project beneficiaries and a showcase of Erasmus+-funded facilities and equipment, highlighting the transformative contribution of these initiatives to higher education, sustainable agriculture, teacher leadership, research, innovation, and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) across Africa.

On 3rd June 2026, the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK), in collaboration with Kenyatta University, hosted an insightful session exploring pharmacy practice, career pathways, and professional opportunities within one of the world's most advanced healthcare systems.
The session featured Dr. Van Hellerslia, PharmD, BCPS, Clinical Professor at Temple University and Associate Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, USA, who shared valuable perspectives on clinical pharmacy practice, healthcare delivery, and emerging opportunities for pharmacists in the United States.
