On June 11th, KEPSA participated in a high-level UK-Kenya engagement forum in London to boost bilateral trade and investment. KEPSA was proudly represented by Dr. Kinyanjui Koimbori, Head of KEPSA Consult, who championed collaboration in green growth, the circular economy, and digital innovation.
A major highlight of the event was the signing of an MoU between KEPSA and Connect Intergrated Company (UK) Limited (CICL UK), officially bringing them into KEPSA's business network to strengthen trade missions. Additionally, the forum saw the official launch of the Kenya Global Business Alliance (KGBA), which will also join KEPSA to expand international partnerships and outreach.
The prestigious event was graced by key dignitaries including H.E. Makoloo Maurice, Kenya High Commissioner to the UK, Ambassador Dr. Joseph Waruingi, DBA, Deputy Head of Mission, and Ms. Mary Njonjo, CEO of CICL UK. Also in attendance were Carol Warui, Governing Council Representative at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), Professor Moses K. Langat, CEO of KGIB, and Nicodemus Bore, Executive Director of the United Democratic Party, among other distinguished guests from the private sector, academia, and policy circles

In a major boost for Kenya's agenda, the Government of Kenya has announced a KSh 2 billion allocation towards the GovernmentโUNDP Youth Employment Programme during the budget presentation to parliament reading by the CS for the National Treasury and Economic Planning for the FY 2026/2027 National Budget. This commitment underscores the growing recognition of the power of public-private collaboration in tackling one of Kenya's most pressing challenges: youth .
With nearly one million young entering the market each year, the urgency of building dignified, skills-aligned pathways into employment has never been greater. This investment directly strengthens and shows a vote of confidence in models that bring , the and partners together to close the gap between education and the world of work.
This allocation represents a direct policy and funding outcome of advocacy work that KEPSA has driven over the past period, specifically:
โข Government recognition, at budget level, of private sector role in implementing national youth employment programmes.
โข Validation of the public-private partnership model KEPSA has championed as a credible vehicle for addressing youth unemployment at scale.
โข A formal mandate for KEPSA to mobilise its membership in support of a government-backed, donor-supported national priority, positioning the organisation as a central player in the youth employment agenda going into FY 2026/2027.
โข A foundation for KEPSA to demonstrate impact to its membership through the pilot phase, with a clear pathway to scale-up that KEPSA will help shape.
