Day 1: Service Beyond the Classroom.
Our Year 8 students at Brookhouse School stepped into purposeful action at Kambui School for the Deaf, turning compassion into impact. Through service, connection, and shared experiences, they learned that true education extends beyond the classroom and into the community.

From classroom concepts to real-world discovery! Our Geography fieldwork experience empowered students to investigate coastal environments, explore conservation initiatives, and apply their learning through hands-on research. These meaningful experiences build critical thinking, deepen understanding, and inspire a lifelong appreciation for our natural world.

World Environment Day 2026 at Brookhouse

Today, we celebrate environmental stewardship as a Brookhouse ideal—empowering students to care for our planet through awareness, action, and sustainable living.

Students from Brookhouse Schools attended the 37th edition of the Rhino Charge, gaining firsthand insight into the determination, resilience, and teamwork required to navigate the challenging terrain of Samburu. The experience reinforced important lessons in service, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. This year’s event raised an impressive KSh 365,376,748 for conservation and community development. Brookhouse student volunteers contributed enthusiastically and efficiently throughout the event, earning praise from organisers for their exceptional teamwork and organisation. Their efforts supported conservation initiatives that will continue to benefit Kenya’s wildlife and local communities for years to come.

At Brookhouse Schools, environmental stewardship is more than an activity—it's a core value woven into our learning culture. Through Environment Week, we inspire students to become responsible global citizens who understand the importance of protecting our planet for future generations.

Year 4 students enjoyed an enriching excursion to Elsamere, Naivasha, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Hell’s Gate National Park and learning about biodiversity through a nature walk. They also discovered the beauty of Lake Naivasha and the inspiring conservation legacy of George and Joy Adamson at Elsamere Museum.
