A second inspiring visit: Wangechi Mutu
Year 8 pupils were inspired by acclaimed artist Wangechi Mutu as they explored identity through collage, reflection and creative expression.

Our Year 5 & 6 students are taking part in the "A Thousand for a Thousand" challenge to raise funds for the Uweza Foundation and help provide sports equipment for children in need.
Students are challenged to earn KSh 1,000 through chores and small jobs while also working together to complete 1,000 team sports drills.

Mrs Vashisht & Ms Odipo had an out-of-this-world experience as special guest astronauts in the FS2 class! 🚀
The children were full of enthusiasm and curiosity, confidently using words like gravity, space station, and boosters as they imagined their own moon missions. A fantastic learning experience that truly brought the wonders of space to life!

“Anything but my School Bag” marked our Mental Wellbeing Week with a fun and creative challenge that encouraged pupils to find imaginative ways to bring their belongings to school. The activity aimed to raise awareness of mental health and promote positive wellbeing strategies.
The pupils’ creativity and originality truly shone through, making it an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.

Saturday morning at Hillcrest was nothing short of spectacular, as six of the top KAIS schools clashed in a thrilling showcase of high-caliber rugby. The intensity, skill, and determination on display reflected one of the finest standards of school rugby witnessed in years.
Huge congratulations to Hillcrest for an outstanding campaign overcoming St Andrew’s Turi in a gripping semi-final before triumphing over Rift Valley Academy in a superb final to claim the title.
Credit also goes to every school involved for the tremendous preparation, commitment, and sportsmanship shown throughout the day. The players delivered a truly unforgettable spectacle, leaving parents dazzled, inspired, and deeply impressed by the exceptional performances on display.

This week, Hillcrest Y8 students had the incredible honor of hosting internationally renowned Kenyan artist Wangechi Mutu!
Wangechi shared how she uses art to challenge stereotypes and redefine African womanhood. Through watercolor and sculpture, she showed our students how creativity fuels reflection, healing, and transformation.
The inspiration doesn’t stop here! Next week, our students will get hands-on in a Portraiture & Collage Workshop led by Wangechi herself.

World Swimming Games London Update:
Our swim team is currently making waves in the UK! They are enjoying a 5-day tour in London.
After a whirlwind sightseeing tour of London's iconic landmarks, the team dove into competition at the world-class London Aquatics Centre—the very site of the 2012 Olympics. Lucia delivered a stellar performance in the 200m Individual Medley, finishing 4th in her heat against a tough international field. Today, the team moves into the high-energy sprint events.

Thank you to all the parents, students, and staff who participated in last weekend’s Annual Community Run. The event successfully brought together the school family and the wider community in an atmosphere of positivity and health. It was a valuable opportunity for the community to connect outside the usual school routine.
