Statement Update
Following the bee incident that occurred during the Annual SMO Mentorship Day on 21 June 2026, we have issued a full update on the actions taken to support affected alumni, staff, and guests.
We are grateful that all affected individuals received medical attention, and we continue to provide follow-up support, including access to free psychosocial counselling services.
Our thoughts remain with everyone affected, and we thank our alumni, partners, emergency responders, medical teams, and the wider community for their support and cooperation.
