CAMFEBA led the ASEAN Employers to a dialogue on Digital Wage Transformation in the Region
8 May 2026, Siem Reap: The ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE), under the leadership of CAMFEBA, in partnership with the International Labour Organization (ILO), hosted the Dialogue on Responsible Digital Wage Payments for Business Efficiency and Worker Financial Inclusion.
The dialogue brought together employer organizations, financial institutions, development partners, and employer representatives from across ASEAN to discuss the growing importance of digital wage systems in improving payroll efficiency, worker protection, and financial inclusion.
Representatives from the ILO, KB PRASAC Bank , Employers Confederation of the Philippines , Apindo Nasional, Textile, Apparel, Footwear & Travel Goods Association in Cambodia , and other regional stakeholders shared experiences and insights on advancing wage digitization in ASEAN countries. Experts highlighted how digital wage payments can support business sustainability, reduce administrative risks, and expand workersβ access to formal financial services. Employers also shared practical experiences, challenges, and lessons learned from implementing digital payroll systems within their own organizations.
The event concluded with discussions on future collaboration and a shared commitment to promoting inclusive and responsible wage digitization across ASEAN. The ultimate goals are to support resilient businesses, empower workers, and drive sustainable economic growth through digital innovation.
Who is ACE?
The ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) was established in 1978 as a regional body uniting employer organization across ASEAN to represent business interests in labor, social legislation, and industrial relations. It began with five founding members and has since expanded to include employer federations from all ASEAN countries.
The mandate of the Chair of ACE is rotated every two years. CAMFEBA became a member of ACE in 2006 and takes turn to be the Chair of ACE in 2026-2027.
