On June 13, the Grade 4 students of Tucker Clarke Primary School had the wonderful opportunity to attend an Etiquette Banquet at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort. This special event was designed to teach students the importance of good manners, confidence, and respectful behaviour in social and formal settings.
The event was spearheaded by Ms. Smith and the Grade 4 teachers, whose dedication and hard work made the experience both educational and memorable for all who attended.
The students participated in an engaging etiquette training session led by Ms. Zakers of the Zakers Afffinity Causes . She taught valuable lessons about proper table manners, respectful communication, and how to present oneself with confidence and grace.
We were also honoured to have Mr. Esdaile as the guest speaker. He encouraged the students to continue developing positive values and reminded them that good manners and respect are important qualities that can open many doors in life.
The evening was enriched by an energetic performance from the Brotherhood Drummers, whose presentation brought excitement and culture to the event.
One of the highlights of the evening was a beautiful steel pan rendition of the National Anthem by Mr. Yazid Francis, which filled the room with pride and appreciation for our nation’s heritage.
Students also heard inspiring remarks from Ministry Representative Mr. Blackett, who emphasized the importance of etiquette, discipline, and strong character in shaping future leaders.
Throughout the evening, the Grade 4 students demonstrated excellent behaviour as they practiced proper dining etiquette, respectful interactions, and social skills during a formal dining experience.
Special thanks are extended to Delano Bart, KC, Mr. Sam Condor, and Mr. Kertney Thompson for their generous donations and kind support, which helped make this event possible. Their contributions are greatly appreciated.
The Etiquette Banquet reminded everyone that etiquette is more than learning how to use utensils correctly—it is about showing kindness, demonstrating respect, and carrying oneself with confidence in every environment.
The Grade 4 students of Tucker Clarke Primary School are grateful for this meaningful experience and extend sincere thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success.
Moral: Good manners, respect, and confidence are lifelong skills that help us become responsible leaders and positive role models in our communities.
