About the facilitator:
Dr. Mariam Rabaa is an educational leader with expertise in both science and educational management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Beirut Arab University, a master’s degree in chemistry from Lebanese University, and a master’s degree in educational management, along with a Diploma in Training of Trainers (TOT), from Saint Joseph University of Beirut.
Dr. Rabaa currently serves as the Principal of Makassed Abdul Kader Kabbani High School. She is also an active member of the administrative body of the Beirut Arab University Alumni Association.
A strong advocate for innovation in education, Dr. Rabaa holds several distinguished certifications, including Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Microsoft Certified Educator, Microsoft Office Specialist, and ELEOT Certification. She also served as a volunteer Engagement Review Team member with Cognia.
Committed to continuous professional growth and educational leadership, Dr. Rabaa participated in the 2022 Middle East Professional Learning Institute (MEPLI) at Harvard Graduate School of Education and currently serves as a MEPLI Convener, supporting professional learning and leadership development across the education sector.

يسرّ إدارة الشّؤون التّربوية في جمعيّة المقاصد الخيريّة الإسلاميّة في بيروت أن تعلن عن إنجازٍ مشرّف جديد يضاف إلى سجلّ نجاحات مدارسها في البطولة الوطنية لمناظرات المدارس في لبنان، التي أُقيمت يوم الأحد 7 حزيران 2026 في جامعة رفيق الحريري في المشرف، بمشاركة نخبة من المدارس من مختلف المناطق اللبنانية.
فقد أحرزت كلية خالد بن الوليد المركز الثاني وليسيه المقاصد خديجة الكبرى المركز الثالث على مستوى لبنان، بعد أداءٍ متميّز عكس قدرات عالية في التفكير النقدي، وبناء الحجج، ومهارات الإقناع والحوار.

كما برز عدد من تلامذتنا ضمن قائمة أفضل عشرة متحدّثين في البطولة، حيث نال:

• خالد نعمة (كلية خالد بن الوليد - المركز الثالث)
• فرح خالد (ليسيه المقاصد خديجة الكبرى - المركز الرابع)
• مها أورفه لي (كلية خالد بن الوليد - المركز الخامس)
• سابين الحاج موسى (كلية خالد بن الوليد - المركز السادس)
• مازن قطنجي (ليسيه المقاصد خديجة الكبرى - المركز العاشر)

كما يسرّنا أن نهنئ خريجة ليسيه المقاصد خديجة الكبرى بيان الكردي على تحقيقها المركز الأول ولقب أفضل متحدّثة في بطولة مناظرات الجامعات، في إنجاز مشرّف يعكس تميّزها واجتهادها ويجعلها مصدر فخر لمدرستها ونموذجًا يُحتذى به في الطموح والنجاح.

كما تألّقت الطالبة لطيفة يموت من كلية علي بن أبي طالب بحصولها على لقب "أفضل متحدّث/متحدّثة"، تقديرًا لتميّزها في طلاقة التعبير، وقوّة الحجّة، والثقة بالنفس، وتمكّنها من عرض الأفكار بأسلوبٍ واضحٍ ومقنع.

إن هذه الإنجازات المشرّفة هي ثمرة الجهد المتواصل والتدريب الجاد، وهي دليلٌ على قدرة تلامذة المقاصد على التميّز والمنافسة على أعلى المستويات الوطنية.

ألف مبروك لطلابنا الأعزاء، كلّ الشكر والتقدير للمدرّبين والمشرفين، مع تمنّياتنا بمزيدٍ من النجاح والتألّق في المحافل القادمة.

Innovation and Excellence Across Al Makassed Schools

Makassed Education Office proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our students in the Do Your Bit 2026 Competition and the National Coding Fair 2026.

Makassed Khaled Ben El Walid College (KBWH):

Omar Nakhal earned 1st Place (14–18 With Code) for his project “Behind Your Eyes.”

Makassed Ali Ben Abi Taleb College (ABAT):

• Latifa Yamout secured 2nd Place for “The Blue Guard.”
• Hadi Iskandarani achieved 4th Place with his Smart Safety Robot.

Makassed Abi Baker Al Sideeq School (ABSS):

Mahdi Mohammad and Alaa Kouzi won 3rd Place in the No Code category (8–14).

We also commend all participating students for their innovative projects addressing sustainability, safety, and environmental challenges.

About the facilitators:
• Dounia Badereddine:
Dounia Badereddine joined Al Makassed Association in 2009 and currently serves as the Director of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit at the Directorate of Educational Affairs. With over 17 years of experience in the field of education, her professional journey includes teaching English as a Second Language, leading an elementary school, and coordinating International School Award projects with the British Council as a volunteer.

Dounia holds a Teaching Diploma in English Language Teaching from the Lebanese University (2009) and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (2019). She was selected as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert in 2014 and was also accepted into the prestigious Study of the United States Institutes Program at California State University, Chico for secondary educators, a program funded by the American Embassy to enhance English language teaching and leadership skills.

In addition to her leadership roles, Dounia is an experienced trainer who has designed and delivered numerous professional development workshops for educators and school leaders. She is passionate about educational quality, innovation, monitoring and evaluation, and empowering teachers through continuous learning and capacity building.
• Mirna Fares
Mirna Fares is a passionate mathematics educator and coordinator who believes that mathematics should be meaningful, engaging, and accessible to all learners. With extensive experience teaching mathematics across different grade levels, she is dedicated to helping students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
In addition to her teaching role, Mirna serves as a Mathematics Coordinator and General Coordinator for Elementary Mathematics, working closely with teachers to enhance instructional practices, improving assessment methods, and support effective mathematics teaching and learning. She is committed to fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth, empowering educators to create engaging learning experiences that address the diverse needs of students.
Mirna has a strong interest in innovative teaching strategies, differentiated instruction, and data-informed practices that enhance student achievement. Through mentoring, coordination, and ongoing support, she strives to create positive learning environments where both teachers and students can thrive, succeed, and develop a lifelong appreciation for mathematics.
