Biography

Home to the iconic Cecilian Rays, the legendary Petronilla Deterville , first ever Grammy award winner for St. Lucia, Johann Deterville and YouTube sensation Arthur Knotless Strands, is an exceedingly proud yet humble daughter of Anse La Raye Annamay William.

With a passion to be the voice of our (Youth At Risk) she ensures to be an active member of her community. She serves as a catechist, animator, youth leader and council member in her church, also holding the position of General Secretary of the community youth group Youth On Fire Movement; all of which presents her with the opportunity to reach out to our (Youth At Risk) and extend a beacon of hope onto them.

Annamay does not stop at community involvement but also excels at her school, the Patricia D. James Secondary , where she fell in love with performance arts. She was awarded the first ever student at her school with the Best Female Theater Arts Performer at the secondary schools level in the Northern Part of the island. This was not enough for the Patricia D James Secondary School history books, she repeated history again in 2025 winning this award. Keeping to the arts she developed a love for music, compelling her to become a member of the National Schools Choir, encouraging another opportunity to represent her school at the National Schools Junior Calypso Competition in 2024.

Not only does she excel in community endeavors and performance arts she also excels academically securing the position of Head Prefect at school and a member of her schools Peer Helpers Group. Annamay has also extended her brilliance in the District Two Science Fair securing 2nd position with her team members with their Natural Shoe Polish Science Project.

Annamay displays her passion for our (Youth At Risk) in every group, every opportunity that is presented to her. She does so with purpose intelligence and grace.
