“සුඛෝ බුද්ධානං උප්පාදෝ” – බුදුවරයන් වහන්සේලාගේ ලෝකෝත්තර උපත සත්ත්ව ලෝකයටම සැපතකි.

ලෝකවාසී බෞද්ධ ජනතාවගේ ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨතම ආගමික උත්සවය වන වෙසක් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහෝ දිනය, අප තිලෝගුරු ගෞතම බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේගේ උපත, බුද්ධත්වය සහ පරිනිර්වාණය යන අසිරිමත් තෙමඟුල සිහිපත් කරන උතුම් දිනයකි.

🏮 මෙම පින්බර සමයේ වෙසක් කූඩු හා පහන්වලින් පරිසරය ආලෝකවත් වන අතර, දන්සැල්, බෝධි පූජා, ධර්ම දේශනා සහ භක්ති ගී තුළින් දානය, ශීලය හා භාවනාව ප්‍රගුණ කරමින් බුදු දහමේ වටිනාකම් ජීවිතයට සමීප කරගැනීමට අවස්ථාව උදා වේ. එය සැරසිලිවලට පමණක් සීමා නොවී, සිත් පහන් කරගැනීමේ සහ යහපත් ගුණධර්ම වර්ධනය කරගැනීමේ කාලයකි.

උතුම් නවම් පුර පසළොස්වක පොහොය දිනය අදයි!
* ප්‍රථම මහා සංඝ සන්නිපාතය: බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ වේළුවනාරාමයේදී රහතන් වහන්සේලා 1,250 නමකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් ප්‍රථම මහා සංඝ සම්මේලනය පැවැත්වීම.
* අග්‍රශ්‍රාවක තනතුරු පිරිනැමීම: සැරියුත් සහ මුගලන් යන මහරහතන් වහන්සේලාට බුදු සසුනේ දකුණත් සහ වමත් අග්‍රශ්‍රාවක තනතුරු පිරිනැමීම මෙදින සිදු විය.
* ඕවාද ප්‍රාතිමෝක්ෂය දේශනා කිරීම: සංඝ රත්නයේ විනය සහ ඉදිරි පැවැත්ම උදෙසා "සබ්බ පාපස්ස අකරණං..." යන උතුම් ගාථාව ඇතුළත් ඕවාද ප්‍රාතිමෝක්ෂය දේශනා කිරීම.
* ආයු සංස්කාරය අත්හැරීම: බුදුරජාණන් වහන්සේ තව තෙමසකින් තමන් වහන්සේ පිරිනිවන් පාන බව රජගහ නුවරදී ප්‍රකාශ කරමින් ආයු සංස්කාරය අත්හැරීම.

මෙවැනි ඓතිහාසික සිදුවීම් රැසක් සිදුවූ අදවන් උතුම් පොහෝ දිනක අප ද උතුම් ශ්‍රි සද්ධර්මය සැදැහැ සිතින් සිතින් අසමින් පැහැදිලි අවබෝධයක් ඇතිකරගෙන සසර දුකින් නිදහස් වෙමු.
