Partner Schools for the Future
We were delighted to host the renewal of the PASCH partnership agreement with Musaeus College at the German Embassy in Colombo, together with the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka.
The PASCH initiative (Schools: Partners for the Future), coordinated by the Goethe-Institut, is a global network of schools that promotes German language learning and strengthens international cultural exchange.
During the ceremony, the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka renewed its PASCH cooperation agreement with Musaeus College in the presence of Ms. Marisa Kollenberg, Head of Culture at the German Embassy, Mr. Stefan Winkler, Director of Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka, and Ms. Sajeevanie Bandara, Principal of Musaeus College.
We are pleased to support this continued collaboration, which provides students with opportunities to learn German, engage in intercultural exchange, and further strengthen the close ties between Germany and Sri Lanka.

On 02 June 2026, Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka conducted an information session at NAITA Trincomalee under the project Mein Weg nach Deutschland for students in IT, Caregiving, and Tourism & Hospitality.

Participants explored various pathways to Germany, including vocational training (Ausbildung), skilled employment opportunities, and the Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte). They also gained insights into German language learning, culture, and everyday life in Germany.

Thank you to all participants for their interest, enthusiasm, and active engagement!

As part of Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka’s mission to promote the German language across the island, we successfully completed our journey through all nine provinces of Sri Lanka.

Our final stop was the Eastern Province on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, where we had the pleasure of engaging with enthusiastic students from:

Kantale Central College
T/KN Agrabodhi National School
Zahira College, Trincomalee
T/Sinhala M.M.V.
T/Shanmuga Hindu Ladies’ College
T/Kinniya Central College

The energy, curiosity, and excitement shown by the students made this experience truly unforgettable. Thank you to all the schools, teachers, and students who warmly welcomed us and joined us in exploring the opportunities that learning German can offer.

Together, we continue building bridges through language and culture.
