Hillwood College, Kandy

The College Annual Prize Giving Ceremony was held on 15th May 2026 to recognize and reward the outstanding academic achievers of the year. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms. Dilrukshi Kurukulasooriya, a distinguished past pupil of the college, the Executive Director and Chief Resources Officer of DIMO PLC, and an Attorney-at-Law. Her presence and inspiring address added great value to the event, motivating students to strive for excellence and reach their full potential in both their academic and personal lives.

Japanese Cultural Exchange Programme

On 02.06.2026, the Link Club of Hillwood College, Kandy successfully organized a Japanese Cultural Exchange Programme for Grade 8 and Grade 9 students in collaboration with Akagi International inc

The students had the opportunity to learn basic Kanji writing and the traditional Japanese art of Origami. They also enjoyed dressing in beautiful traditional Japanese costumes, making the experience both educational and memorable.

It was an exciting and enriching day that provided our students with valuable insights into Japanese culture and tradition

Our Hillwood Playschool and Nursery children had a wonderful field visit to Water World Kandy! They enjoyed exploring marine life, learning new things, while creating wonderful memories with their friends. 🌊🐠✨"
