“පොද වැස්ස” වෙසක් පිංකමට සමගාමීව මහා සංඝරත්නය පනස් අට නමක් විෂයෙහි සංඝගත දක්ෂිණාවක් පිරිනමමින් විශේෂ පුණ්‍යකර්මයක් විද්‍යාලයේදී සිදු කෙරිණි.

මෙම අවස්ථාවේදී පාසලේ සේවය කර විශ්‍රාම ගොස් සිටියදී අපව හැර ගිය විදුහල්පතිවරුන් හා ගුරුභවතුන් සිහිපත් කරමින් ඔවුන්ට පින් අනුමෝදන් කිරීමද, පසුගිය කාලයේ දිවියෙන් සමුගත් ආදරණීය සිසුන් වන සී. එච්. වික්‍රමසිංහ(13Arts2), පහන් නිලූස චන්ද්‍රෙස්කර(12Arts1) සහ පසුගිය දින හදිසි අනතුරු වලින් මිය ගිය නේතුල නිම්දිනු(12Sc1) සහ සචිත් කරුණාරත්න(12Sc1) ඇතුළු සියලු දරුවන්ට පුණ්‍යානුමෝදනා කිරීමද සිදු විය.

එමෙන්ම විශ්‍රාමිකව නිවෙස්වල කල් ගෙවන විදුහල්පතිවරුන් හා ගුරුභවතුන් වෙත සෙත් ප්‍රාර්ථනා කිරීමත්, විද්‍යාලයේ උන්නතිය වෙනුවෙන් කැපවී කටයුතු කළ ආදී සිල්වෙස්තර මහත්වරුන්ට පින් පැමිණවීම හා සෙත් පැතීමත් මෙම පුණ්‍යෝත්සවයේ වැදගත් අංගයන් විය.

මෙම උතුම් පුණ්‍යකර්මයෙන් ලැබූ සියලු පින් සියලු දෙනාට අනුමෝදන් වේවා!
සියලු දෙනාට නිදුක් නිරෝගී සුවයත්, සසර ගමන කෙටි කර ගනිමින් උතුම් නිවන් සුවයත් අත් වේවා! 🙏🪔

බලශක්ති සංරක්ෂණය සහ විකල්ප බල ශක්ති භාවිතය සම්බන්ධයෙන් 2025 වර්ෂයේ සිදු කළ දැනුවත් කිරීමේ වැඩසටහන් වලට අදාළ ත්‍යාග ප්‍රදානය සහ ඇගයීමේ උත්සවය මධ්‍යම පළාත් ආණ්ඩුකාරවර මහාචාර්ය එස්.බී.එස්. අභයකෝන් මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් මහනුවර, ඊ.ඒල්. සේනානායක ළමා පුස්තකාල ශ්‍රවනාගාරයේ දී (02) දින පැවැත්විණි.

🍚 Trail Blazers සංගමය විසින් සංවිධානය කළ මහා සව් දන්සැල සඳහා විශාල පිරිසකගේ සහභාගිත්වය හා ප්‍රශංසනීය දායකත්වය හිමි විය.

මෙම පින්කම් තුළින් දාන, කරුණාව, සහෝදරත්වය හා සමාජ සත්කාරකත්වය යන උතුම් වටිනාකම් ප්‍රායෝගිකව අත්දැකීමට සිසු දරුවන්ට අවස්ථාව උදා විය.

♟️ Strengthening the Future of Chess at St. Sylvester’s College ♟️

A fruitful discussion was recently held with distinguished old Sylvestrians, Eng. Darshi de Seram (Founding President of the College Chess Association), Mr. Palitha Ellapola (Telecommunications Engineer), Mr. Kosala Pathirana (Head Prefect – 1996), and Mr. R. Rodrigo (Deputy Head Prefect – 1999, Old Cricketers’ Association) regarding the development and promotion of chess at the College.

During the meeting with the Principal, several important initiatives were discussed, including the modernization of the Primary Section Chess Training Room, the donation of a Chess Demonstration Board, and the organization of a Chess Tournament to further encourage and nurture young chess talents.

We extend our sincere gratitude to these dedicated old boys for their commitment, vision, and continued support in uplifting chess at St. Sylvester’s College. Their invaluable contributions will undoubtedly help create greater opportunities for future generations of Sylvestrians to excel in the game of chess.
