President Boakai's Senior Political Advisor lauds MCSS Superintendent !!!
Monrovia, Liberia ------June 8, 2026: President Boakai's Senior Political Advisor Hon. Macdella Cooper, early this morning, visited A. Glenn Tubman Elementary School located in Sinkor.
According to Hon. Cooper, the purpose of her visit was to see Dr. Stevens and what she's doing with the MCSS schools, especially starting with the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and identify areas to lend support.
"We have a project called "The Champions of Education'' and the Champions of Education are people in our country and globally, who care about supporting education. We have been running this project for over 10 years, and so, today, we are trying to bring The Champions of Education, who believe in young people, who believe in the future of this country, who believe in education, who believe that education is the only way out of our high illiteracy rate. I know this would sound redundant by saying all of that, but we really want to bring in more people to show more light on what Mrs. Stevens is doing with the schools and how we can support her, because this is a government school, don't forget. This is not a private school where money is coming in. The government is trying its best, but we also need private individuals and companies to come and wrap their arms around Mrs. Stevens and the children to be able to elevate our education system, especially the small ones." Hon. Cooper said
Having toured the school's (EDC) facilities and interacted with the kids, Hon. Cooper noted that Dr. Stevens is doing an incredible job as MCSS Superintendent.
For her part, MCSS Superintendent, Dr. Stevens thanked Hon. Cooper, the Government, especially President Boakai, for his immeasurable support to education.
