REFLECTING ON A SUCCESSFUL SECOND QUARTER 📊📈

As we close the second quarter of the academic year, we take pride in celebrating the many achievements, learning opportunities, and memorable experiences that our learners and staff have shared.

🧮 MATHEMATICS & SCIENCE EXCELLENCE
One of the highlights of the quarter was our participation in the Cluster Mathematics and Science Fair, where our learners showcased outstanding problem-solving, creativity, and teamwork. We are proud to have emerged among the top-performing schools in Mathematics activities, demonstrating the dedication and hard work of both learners and teachers.

🎶 SCHOOL CHOIR PARTICIPATION
Our learners also represented the school in choir competitions. While competitions are about performance, they are equally about growth. Through this experience, our learners gained valuable lessons in discipline, teamwork, confidence, and perseverance that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.

🏅 RECOGNISING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
We also celebrated and rewarded our Grade 8 and Grade 9 top achievers for their outstanding academic performance. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment to excellence continue to inspire their peers to aim higher and achieve.

💙 EMPOWERING LEARNERS THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS
We were privileged to host various organisations from the health, social development, and telecommunications sectors. These engagements provided our learners with important information on health, personal well-being, responsible decision-making, digital awareness, and planning for their future academic and career journeys. We sincerely appreciate these partners for investing in the development of our learners.

📝 JUNE EXAMINATIONS
The quarter concluded with learners writing their first session examinations. We commend all our learners for their commitment and effort during this important assessment period and encourage them to continue striving for excellence.

As we reflect on the second quarter, we are grateful for the achievements, lessons learned, and opportunities that have helped shape our learners.

Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 |

The world observed Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 under the global theme “ ”,

'Muela Combined School joined the conversation by hosting an informative health awareness session led by the dedicated team from 'Muela Health Centre. 🩺

The session focused on:
1. 🧼🚰 Personal hygiene and healthy living,

2. 💙 Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) and breaking stigma through education.

Learners were encouraged to support a safe, respectful, and informed environment where menstruation is understood as a normal biological process and where every girl can manage her period with dignity and confidence. 🌍

The visit also included an engaging question-and-answer session, giving learners the opportunity to interact, learn, and openly discuss important health matters affecting young people today. 👏📚

We extend our sincere gratitude to 'Muela Health Centre for empowering our learners with knowledge that promotes menstruation awareness, healthier schools, and healthier communities.

Yesterday, we were honoured to host Help Lesotho, who engaged our learners in an interactive and eye-opening awareness session.

The presentation focused on the dangers and consequences of underage sexual relations and teenage pregnancy, while also educating learners about their rights, responsibilities, and the importance of making safe and informed decisions for their future.

Boys were also sensitized about the legal consequences of engaging in sexual activities with underage girls, including issues related to sexual abuse and imprisonment.

Learners were further guided on ways to prevent teenage pregnancy and were encouraged to speak out and report any cases of abuse.

It was a powerful and informative session that equipped our learners with valuable knowledge to help them make responsible choices and protect their futures.
