South Korea is a country where language, tradition and modern life meet in fascinating ways. 🇰🇷
From Hangeul, an alphabet designed to make reading and writing more accessible, to the cultural importance of kimchi and the striking contrast between historic hanok neighbourhoods and Seoul’s modern skyline, every detail reveals something new.
Learning Korean through immersion means experiencing much more than vocabulary and grammar. It means understanding the customs, flavours, conversations and everyday moments that bring the language to life.

Language immersion does not always have to mean choosing the most obvious destination.
Some of the most rewarding learning experiences happen in places that feel a little unexpected, where language, culture and daily life offer something truly different.
From practising Dutch in Flanders, Belgium, to discovering Czech in Prague, Hungarian in Budapest or Polish in Warsaw, these destinations invite learners to go beyond the familiar and experience language in a deeper, more authentic way.
An immersion programme is not only about improving vocabulary or grammar. It is about living the language, understanding its cultural context and building confidence through real everyday conversations.
For curious learners, the most unforgettable journeys often begin somewhere less obvious.

Meet Lea.
Lea brings a truly international perspective to the Influent team, shaped by travel, cultural immersion, and a passion for connecting with people from around the world.
Born and raised in Monaco and now based in Toronto, Lea has explored more than 30 countries across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the power of language and the opportunities that come from stepping outside of your comfort zone.
Fluent in English and French, with a strong understanding of multicultural environments, Lea believes that language learning is one of the most valuable ways to experience a new culture. Whether through travel, education, or everyday conversations, she sees language as a bridge that brings people closer together and opens doors to new perspectives.
Alongside her studies in Advertising and her work in social media and marketing, Lea has developed a passion for storytelling and communication. Her experience volunteering abroad and working with international students has reinforced her belief that the most rewarding growth often happens when we immerse ourselves in unfamiliar places and ways of life.
At Influent, Lea combines creativity, curiosity, and a global mindset to help share inspiring language-learning journeys and encourage others to discover the world through immersion.
From Lea with love:
“Some of my most meaningful experiences have come from stepping into cultures different from my own. Every country I’ve visited has taught me something new about the world and about myself.
Learning a language isn’t just about communication. It’s about understanding people, embracing new perspectives, and creating connections that can last a lifetime :)

Language is never just about vocabulary. 🌍
Every country has its own rhythm, traditions, expressions and little cultural details that make communication so much richer.
From the politeness levels of Japanese, to the storytelling culture of Ireland, the regional languages of Spain and the everyday rituals of France, learning a language becomes much more meaningful when you experience the culture behind it.
That is what makes language immersion so powerful.
You do not simply study a language from a distance.
You live it through conversations, meals, local habits, shared moments and real everyday experiences.
Because the best way to understand a language is to step into the world where it is spoken.
Ready to discover a new culture from the inside?
