အတန်းတွေက ပုံမှန်အတိုင်းလည်ပတ်နေတာမလို့ ဘာမှ မတင်ဖြစ်တာလည်းပါပါတယ်။ အထူးသဖြင့် ခု May လ အတွက်ဆို အတန်းအားလုံးပြည့်နေပါပြီ ထပ်လက်ခံလို့ မရတော့ပါဘူးနော်။ (ဒါပြောဖို့ပဲ post လာလာတင်သလိုဖြစ်နေတာသိပါတယ် အားလည်းနာပါတယ်နော်)

ခါတိုင်းလိုပဲ တခုခုသိချင်တာရှိရင်တော့ အချိန်မရွေးလာမေးပါ၊ အားတာနဲ့ ပြန်ဖြေပေးပါမယ်

၂ လ ကျော်အတွင်း IELTS ပြင်ပြီး Band 8 ကို ရအောင်ယူနိုင်လို့ ဆရာမ အပျော်လွန်နေပြီ ရှင် 😭😭

A very proud teacher moment today!!! 🎉🎉

My student Ei Tong just got her IELTS results. Overall Band 8 with 8.5 in Listening. And the whole preparation journey, we did it together from start to finish.

She was actually the first student I ever took on for IELTS preparation, and at the time I honestly wasn’t even sure if I could manage it. She showed up every week hardworking, consistent, and so determined to improve.

What impressed me most was during speaking practice. Sometimes the topics were about things she didn’t really have real-life experience with, but she still figured out how to think through them, build ideas, and express herself confidently (though she did sometimes nag that some topics were unrelatable or so hard blah blah🐥)

Safe to say… she might have outperformed her own teacher haha

So proud of you and everything you’ve achieved. Hard work does pay off. This is only the beginning.

It’s deeply saddening that we’ve faced such a tragic loss, especially when the country is already struggling in so many ways. In these tough times, we are all we have — and it’s up to us to care for each other’s well-being, and hold on to our peace of mind.

ပြည်တွင်းသတင်းတွေအပြင် ပြည်ပ global news တွေ ဖတ်တဲ့အခါ ကြုံလာနိုင်တဲ့ အင်္ဂလိပ်အသုံး အနှုန်းတချို့ကို ဖော်ပြပေးလိုက်ပါတယ်။

ပထမဆုံး အရိုးရှင်းဆုံးက စ ရရင် ငလျင် လှုပ် တာ မှာ ‘လှုပ်’ ဆိုတာကို အခြေအနေ ပေါ်မူတည်ပြီး စကားလုံး အမျိုးမျိုး သုံးနိုင်ပါတယ်။

1. Earthquake strikes
2. Earthquake hits
3. Earthquake shakes
4. Earthquake devastates

ဒီနေရာမှာ တွေ့ရအများဆုံး ကြိယာတွေက တော့ strike နဲ့ hit ဖြစ်ပြီး shake, slam, rock ကတော့ informal ဆန်တဲ့ အသုံးတွေဖြစ်ကြပါတယ်။ devastate နဲ့ batter က တော့ အပျက်အစီး အဆုံးရှုံးပါပြီး လှုပ်ခတ်တဲ့ အခြေအနေတွေမှာ အသုံးပြုနိုင်ပါတယ်။ rattle က တော့ အဖျားခတ် လှုပ်တာမျိုးမှာ သုံးပါတယ်။

နောက်ထပ်သိသင့်တာတွေ ကတော့

1. Epicenter - ငလျင်ဗဟိုချက်
Example: The earthquake's epicenter was located 16km north-west of Sagaing.

2. Tremor - ငလျင်အဖျားခတ်ခြင်း
Example: Strong tremors were felt in neighboring countries like Thailand.
(tremor ကို feel ရဲ့ passive နဲ့ သုံးတာ သတိပြုပါ)

3. Magnitude - ပြင်းအား
Example: The first earthquake had a magnitude of 7.7, causing serious damage.
(ငလျင်ရဲ့ ပြင်းအားကို ဖော်ပြတဲ့ ယူနစ်က richter scale ရစ်ချတ်စတာစကေး ပါ)

4. Aftershock - နောက်ဆက်တွဲ ငလျင်ငယ်
Example: The earthquake was followed by several aftershocks.

5. Fault Line - ပြတ်ရွေ့ကြော
Example: The earthquake occurred along a fault line.

6. Seismic waves - ငလျင်လှိုင်းများ
Example: Seismic waves from the earthquake spread across the region, shaking buildings far from the epicenter.

7. Rubble - အကျိုးအပဲ့၊ အပျက်အစီးပုံ
Example: Rescue teams are digging through the rubble to find survivors.

8. Collapse - ပြိုကျသည်/ ပြိုကျခြင်း
Example: The unfinished high-rise building collapsed in Bangkok.

9. Rescue Operation - ကယ်ဆယ်ရေး
Example: Rescue operations are ongoing in Mandalay to rescue survivors.

10. Shallow Earthquake - မြေမျက်နှာပြင်အောက် အနီး မှ လှုပ်ခတ်သော ငလျင်
Example: The earthquake was shallow, which made its impact stronger.
(မြေပြင်နဲ့ နီးလေ ငလျင်အားပြင်းလေမလို့ shallow earthquake ဟာ ငလျင်အပြင်း ဖြစ်ပါတယ်)

11. Death Toll - (ဘေးအန္တရာယ် တစ်ခုခုကြောင့်) သေဆုံးသူ လူ စုစုပေါင်း
Example: The death toll now stands at 1,002, with many fatalities in Mandalay.

12. Unaccounted For - ပျောက်ဆုံးနေသော
Example: Around 100 construction workers are unaccounted for after the collapse.

13. Affected Areas - ဘေးအန္တရာယ်သင့် နေရာများ
Example: The earthquake’s affected areas are Myanmar, Thailand, and China.

14. Rescue Teams - ကယ်ဆယ်ရေး အဖွဲ့
Example: Rescue teams are working tirelessly to find survivors in Mandalay.

15. Be trapped - ပိတ်မိသည်
Example: Many people were trapped in the collapsed building, and rescue teams are working to save them.

16. Ground Shaking - မြေပြင် တုန်ခါခြင်း
Example: The ground shaking was intense, damaging buildings across the region.

17. Casualties - ဘေးအန္တရာယ်ခုခုကြောင့် မတော်တဆ ထိခိုက်သူ ဦးရေ
Example: The casualties from the earthquake are in the thousands.

18. Fatality - ဘေးအန္တရာယ်ခုခုကြောင့် အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးခြင်း

19. Volatile Situation - မတည်ငြိမ်သေးသော အနေအထား
Example: The situation in Myanmar remains volatile due to ongoing aftershocks.
