Lesson 12 Group Discussion Highlights
This week's discussion focused on one important question:
π¬ What kind of fuel are you putting into your tank?
Players talked about:
π₯¦ How healthy foods help them play better
π§ The importance of staying hydrated
β½ How nutrition affects performance on the field
π How alcohol and ma*****na reduce endurance, slow reaction time, weaken muscles, and make it harder to perform at their best.
Through training, players experienced firsthand how energy, focus, and effort all work together to help them succeed.

Lesson 12: Fuel Your Game
Food is our fuel. Fuel powers our performance!
This week, our players learned that what we put into our bodies affects how we perform on the field.
Before training, we talked about endurance. Our ability to keep running, competing, and giving our best effort from the first whistle to the final minute.
Just like a car needs the right fuel to run, athletes need the right fuel to play their best.
Players explored how healthy foods help provide energy, strengthen muscles, improve recovery, and keep the brain focused during games. We also discussed how alcohol, ma*****na, and other harmful substances can negatively affect athletic performance by reducing energy, slowing reaction time, and making it harder for the body to perform.
On the field, players put their endurance to the test through a fun drill that challenged them to run, stay sharp, and execute a advanced footwork.

Lesson 11 Group Discussion Highlights
π¬ The situation changed. What do you do next?
This week's lesson focused on transition movement β both in soccer and in life.
Our players talked about:
β½ Recognizing when a situation is becoming risky
β½ Why walking away can be a smart and confident choice
β½ Who their trusted teammates are
β½ How friends, parents, teachers, and coaches can help them stay safe
On the field, players practiced reacting quickly, changing direction, finding open space, and supporting teammates during transitions.
Off the field, they learned that when a situation no longer supports their goals, they have the power to walk away, move to a safer place, and seek support.

Lesson 11: Walk Away π
This week, our players learned that one of the smartest decisions you can make when facing pressure is to simply walk away.
On the field, players practiced transition movement β reacting quickly when the game changes, finding open space, and moving into better positions to help their team succeed.
Off the field, we connected this skill to real-life situations. Just as players transition when possession changes, they can also choose to leave situations that feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
Walking away from alcohol, ma*****na, or negative influences is not quitting! It's making a smart play.
Through our group discussion and training, players learned that healthy choices often start with recognizing when it's time to move and finding teammates who will support them along the way.
