It was a pleasure to welcome students from Quatre Bornes SSS to Polytechnics Mauritius for a campus visit.
The visit provided students with the opportunity to explore our learning environment, discover the programmes offered across our different clusters and gain insights into the practical, industry-focused approach that defines the Polytechnics Mauritius experience.
Through interactions with our team and visits to our facilities, students were able to learn more about the various study pathways and career opportunities available to them after secondary education.
Thank you to Quatre Bornes SSS for visiting us. We wish all the students every success as they plan their future academic and career journeys.

Last Thursday, our Part-Time students of cohort DTHM Feb 26 PT Lux Collective organised a student-led Educational Event with Visit & Team Building Activities at Île Des Deux Cocos.
This student-led initiative provided an invaluable opportunity for our Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management students, in their first semester, to transform classroom learning into real-world practice. Taking ownership of the entire event, students were responsible for planning, organising, coordinating, negotiating, and executing the visit, while also designing and facilitating a range of team-building activities.
Beyond being an educational trip, the experience served as a practical showcase of the competencies developed throughout their programme, including leadership, communication, teamwork, event management, problem-solving, and professional responsibility. The visit successfully bridged theory and practice, allowing students to demonstrate their ability to apply industry knowledge in an authentic hospitality and tourism setting.
