STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

I’m Blessings Chimkwayaya Nyirenda, a proud graduate of Lake Malawi Anglican University. I joined LAMAU in July 2023 through the Mature Entry program, and those years shaped my skills, experience, and passion for Public Health.

In my final year, I had the privilege of volunteering with Everycare 4U Charity Organization. That experience added real-world depth to everything I was learning in class.

I completed my studies in June 2025 and graduated that November, one of the best moments of my life. I’m grateful to have been part of the LAMAU family, and I carry that pride as an alumnus.

In January 2026, I stepped into a new role as a Public Health Tutor at Lilongwe Institute of Science and Technology. The knowledge I received at LAMAU is now the knowledge I get to share. We were mentored to mentor others, and that’s exactly what I’m doing.

I also serve as a Digital Business Facilitator with Timveni Child and Youth Media Organization under the Going Beyond Project.

To every current and future LAMAU student: opportunities come from God, but He works through your skills, attitude, and willingness to learn. Don’t limit yourself to a certificate - your capability and enthusiasm will take you further. His grace is enough for all of us.
