ANNOUNCEMENT OF NATIONAL CONSTRUCTION DAY 2026

The Construction Industry Regulatory Authority (CIRA) has the honour to announce the celebration of National Construction Day 2026, scheduled to take place on Friday, 3rd July 2026, under the theme: “People, Quality, and Innovation: Building a Legacy.”
This prestigious national event will be held at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe and will be officiated by the Minister of Transport and Public Works, Honourable Jappie Mhango, MP.

National Construction Day is a landmark event dedicated to celebrating the men and women of the construction industry—professionals, firms, manufacturers, suppliers, and innovators—whose dedication, expertise, and commitment continue to shape the nation’s infrastructure and drive socio economic development.

The commemoration provides a unique platform for reflection on the industry’s achievements, recognition of excellence and innovation, and renewed commitment to quality, professionalism, and sustainable development within the construction sector.

CIRA warmly invites all stakeholders and partners in the construction industry to join in this national celebration as we honour past accomplishments, celebrate present contributions, and collectively build a lasting legacy for future generations.
