Mark Maliseni on completing the Private Pilot Licence training and passing the checkride. Mark was checked out by Captain Hastings Jailosi ATPL, DPE in the Piper PA28 aircraft.

Congratulations to our students Tahir Kashif and Frank Nowa on obtaining their Private Pilot Licences after passing their check-rides today, 31 March 2024.

Both students were checked out by Captain Hastings Jailosi, ATPL DPE. We would like to thank flight instructor Sipho Mangesi for the job well done.

The last part of their training was a joint effort by Eastrise Aviation and AFTA Flytech Academy.

Wishing both students blue skies ahead as they proceed to train for their Commercial Pilot Licences.

We had an incident this morning around 10.24 am on a routine training flight. Our instructor elected to make a landing in the field in the interest of safety.

The aircraft has sustained damage. However, both the student and instructor have been treated as outpatients at Lumbadzi Health Centre.

The Department of Civil Aviation will issue a statement as per the Malawi Aviation Regulations. Meanwhile, the accident investigation is underway.
