Wellbeing afternoon for our staff!
We know how fortunate we are to have such an amazing staff at Stepping Stones. This afternoon is a chance to recognise this by having a few treats.
We shared a delicious lunch of rice and beans before the afternoon began.
Our hospital physio, Steve, came to work with staff about keeping healthy through movement and exercise.
We also offered head and shoulder massages by the great massage ladies who work at Butterfly Space and beauty treatments carried out by our vocational training beauty students.
A wonderful afternoon!

It was a truly bittersweet day today, saying goodbye to our standard 8s. Many of the class had been with us since they were small. I have no doubt that they will go on to great things in future. They were a wonderful class who will be very missed.
We had a wonderful celebration after exams last night, including chicken for dinner and a LOT of dancing!

Our standard 8 class are half way through their national exams. They’ve worked so hard and we are really proud of them. Big thank you to our teaching team who have got them to this point. Wish them good luck!!

💙 Welcoming New Life with Love 💙
Stepping Stones donated 40 newborn care baskets at Nkhata Bay Hospital to support new mothers and their babies.
Filled with baby essentials, sanitary pads, and soap, these baskets are a small way of showing care and support during a special moment.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Together, we can make a difference. ✨

It’s today. We are continually grateful for The Kids' Crusade Foundation who support us by funding our menstrual hygiene program. This means that all our girls have reusable pads (made by Supreme Re-usable Sanitary Pads), underwear and soap. This ensures they have a safe and dignified period and means they don’t miss school because they don’t have adequate protection.

Learning how to save a life starts at a young age!
Two weeks ago, a student from a nearby school drowned in the lake.
Aina, a volunteer from Butterfly Space, visited our Standards 4 to 7 in order to teach them about water safety.
They learned about drowning prevention, rescue positions, and basic CPR.
A very interactive and educational session that helped everyone better understand how to stay safe around water!

We welcomed Rune to school today to run a Climate Fresk workshop with our permaculture club. They loved the session and have come away with some great ideas on how to prevent climate change. Thank you Rune!

On Monday, our neighbour’s dog started behaving erratically. After ruling out injury and poisoning, we realised he had rabies. We called out the local vet and he was put down. Fortunately no one was bitten but if we hadn’t acted quickly, it would have become a very dangerous situation.
As a result, we are launching our third Nkhata Spay campaign. This will cover hundreds of rabies vaccines, plus spaying and neutering. We will cover three locations, one being school to help prevent our kids being at risk of bitten by a rabid dog.
Can you help? Please donate if you can.
