Estimados Colegas y personas interesadas en la salud mental y la educación superior, les invitamos a participar en el Foro de Salud Mental y Educación 2025 que realizaremos los días 28 y 29 de agosto, de manera presencial y virtual, sin costo.

En esta ocasión el foro atiende tres temas principales: Programas de Apoyo y Asistencia para Adultos con TEA; Ansiedad, Depresión y Rendimiento Académico; y Salud Mental, Migración y Trauma.

Quienes estén interesados en participar pueden inscribirse utilizando los QR´s que están en las imágenes anexas. Habrá presentaciones en inglés (con traducción al español) y presentaciones en español. Esperamos que les sea de interés y utilidad.

Dear colleagues and those interested in mental health and higher education, we invite you to participate in the Mental Health and Education Forum 2025, which will be held on August 28 and 29, both in person and virtually, free of charge.

This year, the forum addresses three main topics: Support and Assistance Programs for Adults with ASD; Anxiety, Depression, and Academic Performance; and Mental Health, Migration, and Trauma.

Quiero agradecer a la American Psychological Association y en particular a la Dra. Cynthia de las Fuentes, su Presidente, por otorgarme el APA Presidential Citation, el pasado 08 de agosto, durante la reunión de la Global Psychology Alliance, en el marco de la Convención Anual de APA 2024, en Seattle, Washington.

Hasta donde sé, soy el primer mexicano que recibe este reconocimiento, por lo que no sólo es para mi un honor sino también una enorme responsabilidad de refrendar esta distinción.

Además, quiero agradecer a todos y todas mis colegas y amistades que, al mismo tiempo, hemos colaborado para promover y fortalecer la psicología en México y el mundo.

He tenido la oportunidad y el privilegio de colaborar, acompañar y apoyar muchos proyectos en los cinco continentes gracias al respaldo que me da la Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, las asociaciones de psicólogos y de otras profesiones al rededor del mundo, y al apoyo inigualable de todos mis estudiantes y equipo de investigación que colaboramos en el Laboratorio de Psicofisiología, de la Facultad de Ciencias Humanas.

I would like to thank the American Psychological Association and in particular Dr. Cynthia de las Fuentes, its President, for awarding me the APA Presidential Citation on August 8, during the meeting of the Global Psychology Alliance, within the framework of the APA 2024 Annual Convention, in Seattle, Washington.

As far as I know, I am the first Mexican to receive this recognition, so it is not only an honor for me but also an enormous responsibility to endorse this distinction.

In addition, I would like to thank all my colleagues and friends who, at the same time, have collaborated to promote and strengthen psychology in Mexico and the world.

I have had the opportunity and privilege of collaborating, accompanying and supporting many projects on five continents thanks to the support given to me by the Autonomous University of Baja California, associations of psychologists and other professions around the world, and the unparalleled support of all my students and research team that collaborate in the Psychophysiology Laboratory of the Faculty of Human Sciences.

Many thanks to all of you, together we achieved this award.

Dear Colleagues, Students and Professionals interested in Mental Health, we invite you to participate in the International Seminar on Mental Health and Education 2024, from February 22 to 23, 2024.

This is the fourth time we have held this event. It is free and is aimed at undergraduate and graduate university students, professors and researchers at higher education institutions, and professionals who contribute to mental health.

The event will be held on the 3rd Floor of the Human Sciences Library-UABC, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico; but, you can also join the sessions via Zoom. To register for Zoom you only have to use the QR that is presented on the poster or the attached program.

We are waiting for you to discuss the challenges that mental health currently faces.
