Special Lecture organized by FOL on “From Clause to Award: A Young Lawyer’s Roadmap Through International Arbitration,” by Datuk Professor Sundra Rajoo, a highly respected figure in the field of arbitration. He was a former Director of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), President of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR), and an Independent International Arbitrator. His extensive experience and leadership within the arbitration community make him an ideal speaker to guide aspiring lawyers through the complexities of international dispute resolution.
The lecture took place on 16 June 2026 at the FOL Workshop room.
Beyond being an academic event, the lecture represents a valuable learning opportunity for law students who are interested in pursuing careers in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Such exposure bridges the gap between legal theory and professional practice, helping students better prepare for future careers in law.

On 9 June 2026, FOL had the privilege of receiving an official visit from the Malaysia Competition Commission (MyCC). The visit marked an important step towards strengthening strategic collaboration between academia and regulatory authorities in the field of competition law and policy.
The delegation from MyCC was warmly welcomed by representatives of FOL, where both parties engaged in productive discussions on potential areas of cooperation. Key areas explored included academic and research collaboration, student engagement initiatives, industrial training opportunities, and the co-organisation of seminars, workshops, and conferences focusing on competition law and its contemporary developments.
A significant outcome of the visit was the mutual intention to formalise the collaboration through the signing of a MoU. The proposed MoU aims to establish a structured partnership that will benefit both institutions, particularly by enhancing students' practical exposure, promoting industry-relevant research, and contributing to capacity building in competition law in Malaysia.
This collaboration reflects FOL’s ongoing commitment to bridging academia, industry, and regulatory bodies, ensuring that its programmes remain relevant, dynamic, and aligned with current legal and policy developments. The Faculty looks forward to a fruitful and long-term partnership with MyCC.
