🚨 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐀𝐍 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐎𝐘𝐄𝐑𝐒: New HRD Corp Grant Policy Effective 𝟭𝟱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲! 🚨

Please take note when you plan your company's training calendar using HRD Corp levy! HRD Corp has released Employer Circular No. 2/2026 recently, introducing significant policy changes designed to strengthen compliance and governance.

Failing to adapt to these new timelines can lead to rejected grants or non-claimable training sessions.

The following are the key changes every HR professional and business owner should know:

🗓️𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟏𝟒-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞: Training can ONLY commence fourteen (14) calendar days after the training grant has been APPROVED.
Last-minute grant application / approvals for next-day training will no longer be entertained.

⏳ 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝟑-𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐲: Once approved, your training must take place between 14 - 90 days from the date of approval.

❌ 𝐍𝐨 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝: Once a grant is approved, you can no longer modify details such as venue, trainer, dates, or course modules. If changes are necessary, you need to cancel and reapply under the new timelines and the 14-days rule applies.

❌ 𝐍𝐨 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝: HRD Corp will no longer accept appeals for rejected or expired grant applications. hence, accuracy during application is crucial!

☝️ 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭: If your grant application is queried, you only get ONE (1) opportunity to respond, and it must be done within 5 calendar days.

👩‍💼 Recommended Planning Timeline to Employers:
▶️Plan ahead and finalise the training details with your Training Provider 30 days before training.
▶️ Submit your grant application via e-TRiS at least 15 days before training.
▶️ Ensure accuracy of training details to avoid queries and delay in approval.
▶️ Conduct training as per application within the stipulated 14 - 9 days timeframe.
