“Moments like these remind me why I love teaching.” ❤️

This morning, I received a message from one of my parents that truly made my day.

“Great news! Aiden got 40/50 in his Term 2 Malay paper!”

When Aiden first joined my Malay as a Foreign Language classes, like many international school students, he found the subject challenging. Step by step, we worked on building his vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, writing skills, and, most importantly, his confidence.

Today, seeing his hard work pay off is incredibly rewarding.

The words that touched me the most were:

“Credit to you for guiding him. We are over the moon and he couldn’t be any prouder of himself.” ❤️

To me, teaching isn’t just about helping students pass exams. It’s about helping them believe in themselves, turning frustration into confidence, and making what once seemed impossible become possible.

Congratulations, Aiden! 🎉 This achievement belongs to you. Your dedication and perseverance made this happen, and I couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you to Aiden’s parents for trusting me to be part of his learning journey. Your support means so much.

If your child is studying Malay as a Foreign Language (IGCSE/Cambridge) and is finding the subject difficult, remember that improvement is possible with the right guidance, consistent practice, and a learning approach tailored to each student’s needs.

🌟 FROM STRUGGLING TO SCORING AN ‘A’ – ANOTHER SUCCESS STORY! 🌟

Today, my heart is filled with gratitude and pride as I celebrate one of my Year 7 international school students who recently achieved an A in Bahasa Melayu. 💚

When she first joined my online classes at the beginning of this year, Bahasa Melayu was a subject she found extremely challenging. Like many international school students, she struggled with:

✔️ Limited vocabulary

✔️ Weak language competency

✔️ Low confidence

✔️ Difficulty understanding lessons in school

As she had entered secondary school (Year 7), her mother became increasingly concerned. At this stage, students are expected to have a strong foundation in the language to cope with more advanced lessons, assessments, and examinations. Knowing her daughter’s struggles, she reached out to me and asked if I could help.

I gladly accepted the challenge.

Over the past few months, we worked consistently on building her vocabulary, strengthening her language foundation, improving her comprehension skills, and, most importantly, rebuilding her confidence. Every lesson was carefully planned according to the latest syllabus and assessment format, while also going beyond the school curriculum to ensure genuine language competency rather than simple memorisation.

Today, I am incredibly happy to share that she has achieved an A in her latest assessment! 🎉

This isn’t just about a grade.

This is about a student who once disliked Bahasa Melayu because she found it difficult, but who now approaches the subject with confidence and is able to understand, participate, and perform well in school.

One of the reasons my students continue to improve is because I believe that Bahasa Melayu is a language, not merely an examination subject. Students need confidence, strong vocabulary, and continuous exposure to use the language effectively. That is exactly what my classes are designed to provide.

Before every school assessment and examination, I also conduct focused revision sessions to reinforce understanding, close learning gaps, and prepare students with effective exam techniques. This allows them to enter their examinations feeling confident and well-prepared.

I have been conducting online Bahasa Melayu classes for the past six years, and despite being fully online, I have never compromised on quality. My lessons are interactive, structured, personalised, and results-oriented. The improvements shown by my students over the years are a reflection of the dedication and quality of teaching I strive to provide.

If your child is currently struggling with Bahasa Melayu, please don’t wait until examination season.

Early intervention makes a tremendous difference.

Whether your child is lacking confidence, struggling with vocabulary, unable to cope with school lessons, or simply needs additional guidance, I am here to help.

Today, I received wonderful news from a parent.

A few months ago, the parent contacted me with concerns about her child, who was taking Malay as a Foreign Language (MFL). He was struggling to understand the language, finding it difficult to cope in class, and was unable to pass the subject. Like many parents, she was worried about his progress and future performance.

As Malaysians, students are expected to develop a certain level of competency in Bahasa Melayu. However, many children find the subject challenging, whether due to language barriers, lack of confidence, or difficulties in understanding the fundamentals.

Whenever I meet parents who are genuinely concerned about their child’s progress, I feel even more determined to help. Every child learns differently, and with the right guidance, patience, and support, improvement is possible.

Today, that same student has not only passed the subject but achieved an overall score of 70%.

Did it happen overnight? No.

It took dedication, consistent effort, and trust from both the student and parent. Together, we worked step by step to build his understanding and confidence in the language.

Seeing his progress today makes every lesson worthwhile.

Every child may progress differently, and some may take more time than others, but steady progress is still progress.

This is a real experience that I have had as a Malay as a Foreign Language teacher.

If your child is struggling with Bahasa Melayu, feeling discouraged, or finding it difficult to cope with the subject, don’t feel pressured or hopeless. Many students start from the same position and go on to achieve great improvements.

Feel free to contact me to discuss how I can help your child build confidence and succeed in Bahasa Melayu.

My Malay as a Foreign Language (MFL) Classes – Making a Difference, One Student at a Time

🌟 Who I Have Helped
Over the years, I have guided students from international and private schools who:

* Struggled to understand basic Malay vocabulary and grammar.
* Had little confidence in speaking, reading, or writing Malay.
* Found it difficult to cope with the Malay as a Foreign Language syllabus.
* Needed additional support to prepare for school assessments and IGCSE examinations.

🌟 How I Helped
My lessons are designed to build a strong foundation step by step through:
✅ Clear explanations in both English and Malay.
✅ Structured notes and targeted exercises.
✅ Exam-oriented techniques and answering strategies.
✅ Personalised guidance based on each student’s learning needs.
✅ Continuous encouragement to build confidence and independence.

🌟 How Parents Have Felt Over the Years
Nothing is more rewarding than hearing positive feedback from parents. Many parents initially approached me feeling worried because their children were struggling with Malay. Over time, they shared that:
💖 Their children became more confident in the language.
💖 Homework and examinations became less stressful.
💖 They noticed significant improvements in grades and classroom performance.
💖 Their children began participating more actively in school.
💖 They felt reassured knowing their child was receiving dedicated support.

One of my greatest joys is seeing students who once found Malay challenging gradually become competent, confident, and proud of their achievements.

Every child’s journey is different, but with the right guidance, improvement is always possible. ✨
