An exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) also took place prior to the luncheon at the World Green & Sustainability Summit (WGSS) 2026.

The MoU was signed between the Centre for AI Innovation (CEAI) and KSI Strategic Institute for Asia-Pacific (KSI) to establish a strategic collaboration for the development, operation and commercialisation of AIDT Lab @ KSI — an AI Design Thinking platform focused on leadership, policy, innovation and impact across Malaysia and the Asia-Pacific region.

KSI was represented by its President, Tan Sri Michael Yeoh, while CEAI was represented by Prof. M Nazri Muhd, Founder and Chairman of Centre for AI Innovation (CEAI) Global.

The summit concluded with a Closing Address by The Honourable Datuk Seri Panglima Dr. Joachim Gunsalam, Deputy Chief Minister I and Minister of Works and Utilities Sabah, on “Sabah’s Blue Economy: Unlocking Blue and Green Growth for Planet, People, Prosperity and Partnership.”

WGSS 2026 reaffirmed the importance of practical implementation, regional collaboration and multi-stakeholder partnerships in addressing climate and sustainability challenges. The summit also strengthened networks among governments, businesses, academia and civil society to accelerate meaningful sustainability outcomes across the Asia-Pacific region.

Another significant highlight was the Synthesis Panel titled “Green Growth in Action: Scaling What Works — Models, Policy and Partnerships”. Speakers explored scalable models in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, blue economy initiatives and nature-based solutions, and also addressed the importance of regulatory support, innovative financing and regional cooperation in moving from pilot projects to impactful implementation.
